A nice park for a walk with or without dogs, kids and or etc, the children's playgrounds are a bit dated but still fun (The large slide looks exactly like the one from French Weir park Taunton in the 90's). There is outdoor gym equipment which is useful but is frequently covered in tree sap from the overarching trees which provide marginal shade in the summer mornings. The zip line could do with re tensioning but most we come across could, and the duck pond is really quite sweet but the island looks like it hasn't seen any (qualified) horticultural management in many years, all in all its a nice park, but it seems as though it's been forgotten by the local council, despite the offices being right next door. There is also a wonderful pipe organ that can be heard some evenings from the small Catholic church at the playground end...
Read moreI haven't been for years and forgot how nice this place really is I visited after being somewhere else in the area and wanted to have a look around and see the pond. There is a nice playpark for the kids with toilets and cafe next to the play park. Whilst walking around i seen the bandstand wich was nice to see things like that still remaining. I Also had a look around the pond and followed the streem down through the park. It was perfect timed as there was lots of colourful flowers about and pink trees.
