The Art Bank Cafe — Restaurant in England

Fantastic gem of a cafe located in the old bank in the heart of Shepton! I knew from my first peek around the door I had to enter for an explore! From the fabulous recycled artwork on the walls to the mobile phone screens leading to the art exhibition, the whole place is a delightful and colourful feast for the eyes and really (if you are like me!) gets your creative juices flowing! The tunes playing were a delightful mix of upbeat melodies without being too in your face! A great quirky cafe/bar/art gallery/performance venue. Sit amongst various art installations, enjoy a cup of tea, great cakes, soft and alcoholic drinks. This (you may have guessed) is an ex-bank building with much of the traditional high-ceilinged and high windowed character retained. But unlike banks, it is the venue for many alternative, off-the-wall art and cultural events and workshops. We'll worth a visit to see...

Absolutely terrible ! Went for lunch and the only food available was a sandwich with crisps and fishcake with peas. Stood waiting for ages for the person to serve us with absolutely no achnoligement at all. A complete lack of personal and customer skills, I actually thought he was on drugs ! We watched as four others were given the same silent treatment and...
