Mulberry — Local services in Great Britain

Lovely shop but I left empty handed.. I have been meaning to go in for a while but as a business owner I work most days so was looking forward to treating myself to a new bag. The store was empty and I walked around for 15 minutes while the staff were talking together. The two ladies working were talking at the far end and barely glanced when I walked in. I picked up 6 or 7 bags and tried them on so would think it was clear I was interested in finding the right size etc but no one bothered to wander over and say hello…. In fact I was totally ignored and thought they must have good cctv because they didn’t seem to be concerned about shoplifters to blank me so much! so I left eventually. I guess I wasn’t dressed up enough for them to consider me worth bothering with. I have had several shops and always make sure myself or staff say hello to EVERYONE regardless of whether you think they can afford your products or not. Everyone’s a potential client…. Hugely disappointed by Mulberry today. I own many items (bags, purses, phone case, bracelets) and I took my Bayswater in to Mulberry today for exchanging due to the, in my opinion, terrible quality I have experienced. The bag is less than 2 years old and the handles have split, the leather has started to break away, the metalwork is tarnished and in my view, this bag does not reflect the price paid, or that of a bag which should last a lifetime. The deterioration is clearly not expected wear and tear and I have £30 bags, which have lasted longer. Mulberry are insisting on sending it off for ‘review’ and repair even though this is the second one of the same style and there is a clear issue, which will likely happen repeatedly, once repaired. I really thought that I would be treated better as a customer and offered a replacement of a different style. I am hugely disappointed and think it’s time to find...

Top dog Stuff n at lower prices than normal. At a kind of hidden location in Shepton Mallet and opposite The Cider Mill, the true home of British Cider! So you might miss the Mulberry site if you don't know where it is? Worth a look round even if you can't afford a hand bag for over a Grand!
