Was funny as we took our neighbour's dog down for a walk, we and ended up getting followed the entire way by a very friendly Crow..🤣 We ended up giving it a few of the dog's treats I had taken with us, and in the end she followed us so far that I thought I'd end up going home with her on my shoulder like a strange kind of pirate - it just kept on hopping along beside us, oblivious to passers-by laughing and totally unphased by the dog too...😂

We've now moved away but stay at the Little Haven Hotel just to be near the beach, great for the kids to be able to quickly get onto the sand. The beach is clean and lovely for a walk. The Groyne next to it is nice to walk along and there is always a thrill for the kids and adults alike when a ship comes in. We were there a couple of weeks ago when the Arcadia cruise ship came in and it was huge! You feel like you can touch it. Read moreLooks a lovely beach but don't take your children on it. The council have designated this as a dog beach and it is filthy. This used to be the safest beach for children as it's between the pier's and the sea is usually calm. If you want to have a clean beach for your children, you have to use Sand Haven beach on the outside of the pier. Of course the sea is more dangerous there for swimming. It would appear South Tyneside Council prioritise dogs...
