Red Dragon — Local services in Southampton

I normal rate this restaurant as the food is normally delicious but what I received this evening was nothing in comparison to my previous experiences. The Tom yum soup was literally flavourless, no heat and had 4 thin slices of mushroom and one prawn in. Crispy shredded chicken was stodgy, king prawn kung po was anaemic looking and flavourless. The Singapore chow mein had a little heat but no flavour at all and the salt and chilli chips had three small slices of chilli in and some sesame seeds in. The prices have been put up but the quality was really shabby tonight, soooo...

When they first opened this take away was fantastic but as with all take aways they start off well then go down hill . They recently put there prices up which was ok but I ordered a special curry yesterday and it was more vegetables than meat but it was the first time it had happened BUT tonight I ordered the shredded beef with chilli and the container was half full and a lot peppers and onions for £5.10 my wife's meal was the same apart my daughter's chicken balls .we won't be using again and for £15 you only get free prawn crackers.....

My go-to for a Chinese takeaway, the staff are really helpful on the phone and just very friendly in general. The menu is extensive and has lots of options, of which anything I have ever tried has never failed to hit the mark. They also give us free spring rolls sometimes when we make a big order which is so nice of them. Portion sizes are good too, I usually end up with leftovers for the next day. Highly recommend the salt and chilli chips (isn't listed on the website but they'll make it if you ask them to). Eating from here always...
