Great place to sit and unwind, with lots of near by bars and restaurants to choose from. Lovely sandy beaches kept in tip top condition by the little silver haired guy that drives the Tractor and beach rake for the Tendering and district council. The sea is clean and lovely to swim in although care should be taken not to swim to close to or under the pier. This is dangerous and should be avoided. The pier its self is a great attraction and has lots of candy floss donuts and soda to enjoy before taking a ride on the roller coaster or big wheel. The beach front cafe and grill serves top notch food and drink run by a friendly and welcoming team of people that make it a place worth stopping at to revive and refresh. Proper good old English sea side town with Proper good old English people. My advice is to get down to Clacton pier, have a great time and enjoy all it has to offer and the people that make it special, YOU, ME AND EVERYONE ELSE

Beautifully set out beach on the coast of the North Sea. This sand and pebble seashore supplied with storm-prevention facilities is one of the most picturesque places on the English coast. On it’s coast is built a solid, stretching over 3 miles long walk. The promenade is easily accessible for joggers, walkers, bikers, dog-walkers or pram-pushers. Beautiful beach huts enhance the view of the coastline. On the sea itself there is a considerable wind-farm which adds modernity to the local coastline. Finally, the long Clacton-on-Sea pier which extends far into the sea. Sadly, closed for refurbishment in 2020, still it looks impressive from the beach. It’s only unfortunate, but not limited to this place, that Clacton’s pier has a gambling section at it’s entrance. By it’s design, children are encouraged to spend their savings on games which can easily lead them to their future gambling addiction.

This beach offers plenty of entertainment and space, although the sand isn't completely smooth due to the pebbles so it is worth having a mat to get comfortable. Getting there is simple, the A12 is nearby but can get congested at times especially with the roadworks near Chelmsford. Parking can be difficult to find and the side roads have some restrictions such as 2 hours only Monday to Saturday. There is a train station for Greater Anglia with service every hour from Liverpool Street. The beach itself is very long so there is plenty of space, but I'd advise a windbreaker and some extra layers as it got very breezy.

Recent press gives Clacton Beach bad reviews. Please visit and judge for yourself! You can walk along the prom for miles. The prom is very clean and bins everywhere. There are some dog-friendly areas, then others where dogs aren't allowed . You have a choice. The beach is very child friendly. There are areas with buckets and spades made available for while you are there. The beach is made up of lots of little sandy bays. Some of them are very quiet with lovely clean sand. The sea is clean . You can access Clacton by train, but there's also very good roads. Please take a visit and judge for yourself.

Clacton on Sea beach is Sandy and clean beach. There are plenty of shops around. There are public toilet facilities in and around the beach. There is plenty of free parking available. But you have to get there early to get the free parking slots. If you love waking around you have lot to explore. There is a RSPA nature reserve around area. You can find variety of birds around this area. There a lot of fish and chips shops around. I will post few shot videos on YouTube “London Aaga Bits” channel. Please find some different views of Clacton on Sea beach.

A beautiful stretch of beach with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the world as it turns. We popped down on a Tuesday evening to walk the dog and my two little nieces. Most of the amenities were closed (night before Summer Peak season) and there were few people about. It was clean, calm and clearly loved by the locals, as you can see the love and pride placed into keeping the sea front looking good. I would highly recommend coming down, buying an ice cream and just enjoy the moment.
