Hi, the team of volunteers at towcester museum have really excelled them selves in putting on an excellent ww1 display, they have gathered local stories of soldiers of the town and told there stories, display of trench art she'll cases etc, there is also a brilliant large cabinet display of the trenches, who ever made this was truly a perfectionist as the details are brilliant. The volunteer soldier we spoke to told of the shoe repair work that also had to be done whilst the fighting ect was taking place, the whole afternoon was so nice and interesting, the staff made everyone so welcome for such an important day. So much hard work and research has gone into this and I would like to say thank you all. Highly recommend a visit. Jill Bale...

Upstairs there were lots of dress up items to try on including helmets, shields and swords. We spent plenty of time doing kids crafts too - lots of different things to put together and take home.

This small museum was a great visit for my young kids and at only £3.50 entry I'd recommend...
