Stopped off here on a trip from Hull to Bournemouth, needed a break and didn't want the usual service station tat. What drew us in initially was the pizza deal ( 2 for ÂŁ13) and what a deal that was. There's a huge selection of amazing sounding food, we went for a fajita pizza and a cheese burger pizza called Elvis. These are huge and some of the best pizzas we've had. Much better than the chain ones. Service was quick and welcoming, it's just a shame it's so far from home as would likely become regular destination. Noticed that the pub is dog friendly, so next time I'm with family and not work, we will stop by instead of services. Thank you for a lovely meal your hospitality.

Definitely is an excellent stop going or coming back from the Canons Ashby's state. If your rout drives you through Towcester, stop by this pub. We wanted a place for getting food and drinks, and we arrived here following other users recommendations. We found a good place for that and more. It's enjoyable the atmosphere with dynamic music but with a pleasant volume to talk and enjoy a meeting with family and friends. It was great watching rugby matches on the screens as well! Food had an awesome flavour! Our compliments to the chef! The best was the staff service. They are truly nice and constantly come around to see if you have needs. Thank you people!

Not a fan. Very leftie, not traditional. Ordered squid, 8.95 for a few pieces with some manky sauce, expensive beer, loud music, not a pub at all, there's an eastern lady that serves who us very nice but there's also an ignorant younger 'person' that is more interested in sitting in the bar than serving, barged past me, I said sorry just to be polite then 'they' ignored me and they eventually served me, won't be back.

Nothing good to say unfortunately! We organised our ‘end of season’ presentation night for our Girls team here. Firstly greeted by Antony who showed us the rooms upstairs, we told him we had 40ish people coming and he stated the the large table in one of the rooms would be removed by the time of our booking due to a refurb. Over a week before the evening I placed the preorder and asked about the table via email. No response so I chased with a call. I spoke to Sara who informed that the table couldn’t be removed, knowing that we would struggle for space I suggested that I went back in to discuss. 4 days before I met Sara who showed me the room again, said she would move the furniture to the sides to make space and bring plates and cutlery up for us. She showed me the marquee outside that we could now use for our presentation, she explained that the back of it could be dropped down and the furniture arranged to how we needed. On the Evening, I arrived 30 minutes earlier than my guests, thankfully! I headed upstairs to begin setting up. There had clearly been a baby shower over the weekend. The furniture hadn’t been moved, the carpet, tables and chairs were covered in food and confetti, dirty glasses still everywhere. I went down stairs to all the staff stood behind the bar looking bored like they had nothing to do and asked for the Manager. I spoke to Rob and explained the issue and that my party was about to arrive. He came up to hoover, a member of staff helped me move and arrange the furniture. I then went outside and moved and arranged the furniture myself, dropped the back of the marquee down myself…. Nothing was done! I removed the ashtrays and dirty glasses from our presentation area. 10 minutes before the arrival of the others I went to find Rob and asked if the preordered food would be ready by 6:45-7pm as arranged. To which he replied “there has been an issue with the dough and it was still frozen” it was going to be more like 7:30pm, this was when we had arranged to do the presentation!! There was absolutely nothing done for us this evening, not even bothered to get the dough out in time after receiving the order over a week in advance. No prior warning of the lateness of food on my arrival and I had girls and parents starting to turn up for food so I went to speak to Rob. This was totally unacceptable service and we agreed that I was going to order a dominoes to be delivered!! So we did and that was lovely, we held our presentation and left. The pub could have made £250 from us that evening but they failed in every way possible. I’ve worked in Catering for 15 plus years, studied Catering and hospitality at College. I’ve never know such shocking organisation, customer service and cleanliness in all my years. The establishment won’t last, they lost the custom over over 14 local families that night. And although it help me out I know that the EHO would not be happy knowing that food was brought into the establishment and consumed. Shame on all involved and whoever owns this establishment needs to give there head a wobble and train their...

Visited the restaurant last night with my partner and our 1 year old daughter and genuinely wish I could give more than just 5 stars

The venue is lovely (we were seated in "just a side room" which was nicer than most "highly rated" London restaurants I've been to!), food was superb, very reasonably priced, served as quick as could be expected possible and the staff that attended to us were absolutely first class!

The restaurant was fully booked from 7pm but we were still seated at just after 6 so as not to disappoint. Interacted and chatted with us immediately (complimenting my daughter and chatting to her, which is always nice) When a subsequent booking arrived shortly after, they checked to make sure we were ok with dogs as it was a big one... But still took the care to seat them elsewhere so as not to risk us being uncomfortable as we had a small child. Continued to periodically check on us and every time made the effort to interact with our daughter which was very sweet and made it feel very personal.

Finally even after we had left and couldn't find my daughter's bottle, when I went back in Rosy dropped what she was doing to help look for it!

Rosy, Carly Meg were flawless, attentive, friendly and any other superlative that you can think of!

Fully recommend and whenever we can revisit we...

Was looking for somewhere new for lunch. This sounded lovely. Place had a nice feel and look to it but the food was truly awful. Was all tasteless and covered up with much too much salad leaves. Ordered battered gherkins but had to pay extra for a dip. Cheese mushrooms with cheese and truffle oil arrived (two mushrooms) with a load of lettuce. One main was lettuce wraps but they had run out of lettuce and had to go to the shop. This consisted of a lettuce wedge some of which was brown and about three thin slices of avocado a cheap tasting hummus a few slivers of red pepper and pink pickles (sliced red onion in vinegar). Not worth ÂŁ9.50. Other main was a flatbread which had to be sent back as it was burnt and rock hard. Arrived with salad leaves three slices of tomato and four little cubes of cucumber. Sent it back and was brought back out with just salad leaves. Pulled pork was a small amount of pulled pork mince. Also coleslaw was grey as if the cabbage and carrots were old. Only one staff member was friendly and helpful the rest were quite surly and inattentive. Also saw that food was left under the heat tray waiting for service. Somewhere else we will not be...
