Clotworthy house and its surrounding gardens, woods and walks is one of my favourite parks in Northern Ireland. Free to get in, the car park will be very busy on sunny weekends so you can always park either at the Antrim Forum and walk along the river to it, or at the Gateway Restaurant on the shores of Lough Neagh and walk back along the river. The river has many herons and seagulls, and if you're patient you might see a kingfisher too. Otters sometime can be seen early morning in the river. The woods are full of bird and squirrels. The cafe is fine for a tea or coffee, There;'s also an art gallery, gift shop and small exhibition on the history of the house and surrounding park. You can also get one at the Gateway Centre 10 minutes walk from Clotworthy House...
