Well worth a visit. Wonderfully intact building, steeped in history and the intriguing relationship between Queen Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley. A visit to Kenilworth deffo needs to be on your radar if you are an Elizabethan buff. In the gatehouse there was a very knowledgeable guide indeed who imparts lots of his knowledge on the era. Fascinating times! One oak staircase has been dated using dendrochronology and is over 1,000 years old. Only other one like it is in Windsor Castle. You can go up to the upper floors where there are plenty of information boards and exhibitions. There is a lift if you struggle...

Plenty of parking and only a short walk to the castle grounds.
Toilets are clean and has a small cafe selling food and ice creams as well as hot/cold drinks.
Natiional Heritage site so best to be a member to make the most out of it.
Reasonable access for limited movement people and even if you dont explore up any stairs the views...
