Tavistock is a great place to visit. Market, Church to visit and pasties shops. Lovely walk along the canal to shillamill viaduct and lumburn river. Lots of cafes around to stop for a drink as well as parks to sit. You can roam around the town and feel the vibe of old days.

What a lovely walk along the canal to Shillamill viaduct & Lumburn river. It was something amazing, to find out having only previously known the canal at the meadows. There was so much more to explore. An easy walk of about 2.5 miles each way. A hidden gem

Tavistock is always worth a place to visit as it has a market that is open on certain days. Lovely Church to visit, pastie shops, butchers and a great Wetherspoons and a very good camera shop,so come along.

Follow the canal from the park, follow along the towpath to the end and see the properties along the route. Admire the Viaducts and marvel at the memories displayed whilst you rest and eat your lunch on the seats provided for your pleasure. Enjoy reading the poetry as you walk along written by local young people. An amazing walk, recommended...
