We had a lovely time here, celebrating 40 years together. Just such a wonderfully warm place with an even warmer greeting. Tea and cake fantastic. My husband the King of cake tasting had the Bakewell and I had lemon curd. I am not a huge fan of cake, but both were exceptional and I'm trying to find an excuse to go again for lunch next time. We had such a wonderful time. Not wishing you future success, as you already have it and very well deserved too. 🙏

What a wonderful way to celebrate an 80th birthday - afternoon tea at Tea at Number Five! A very warm welcome, absolutely delicious finger sandwiches, scones and cakes. Friendly service, pretty surroundings in the lovely town of Clare, Suffolk. So lucky to have this gem on our doorstep. We’ll definitely be back!

My sister and I booked here as a treat to start the celebrations for my mums 90th birthday, well they couldn’t have started any better!! Teresa was so welcoming and treated us all like queens !! The whole experience was a joy , we will definitely return!! And I can’t recommend highly enough!!

Lovely tea room, with the most friendly team. It is a very cosy atmosphere with a good choice of food and cakes at very reasonable prices! Will be going back to try some of the delicious looking cakes! Would recommend the sausage roll :)

A truly delightful experience. Genuine leaf tea served out of proper china teapots! The Earl Grey was the best I have tasted for a long time (not a horrible teabag!) and the cake choice is wonderful.
