The two tennis courts are in fair shape, meaning--they have many cracks from which water weeps after a good rain, but nothing that can trip you. Low spots on the court area collect lakes of water that players must address before playing. Some people behave as if Sam Benn Park is a dog park (IT ISN'T), letting their animals run all over the park. A Doberman charged me, but changed course after I opened my umbrella at it. Read moreMy first time here and I've never felt so uncomfortable or unsafe. As I parked my car, with my daughter, a tweeker threw his hands up at me and flipped me off. I got out of my car and didn't say anything to him and let my daughter play at the park. She was only able to platform a few minutes because that man was just standing next to my car and staring at us. I did not feel safe so we left. Never going back. Aberdeen is horrible when it comes to tweekers! I don't feel safe there...
Read moreGreat park! Has a children's playground and a frisbee golf course. We enjoyed a walk around the larger section with our dog. It was peaceful and we only encountered a few others. The course was being used and looks to be fun and challenging. The playground has a nice rock face built into the hill for kids to do some natural climbing.
