Twice Thrift Store — Local services in Aberdeen

This is the thrirt store that forgot how to thrift

I went there today and was suprised to see that almost everything was more expensive at this thrift store than it would be brand new from the manufacturer/store.

If your looking to save money on used items this is NOT the place. Even if the items here are new as they owner claims, they are still priced higher than other stores)

Additionally this store is NOT ADA compliant. None of the aisles are the required 36 inches wide. If you have a physical disability that necessitates a mobility aid (wheel chair, cane, etc) you will not be able to navigate this store.

The owners claims the place is ADA compliant but it absolutely is not. I had to walk sideways down some of the aisles. There is a area on a platform with no wheelchair ramp for access. As someone with a service animal I was not able to navigate some aisles due to how narrow they were.

Before, I would have given 5 stars, but after yesterday... I don't know, it's the new people who are the new owners. If they sold it or what happened exactly, but a couple of months ago, the nice older lady that would check me out.It was always willing to make deals.I never felt like I was getting ripped off. Anything I bought that was broken was returnable.Then the people that have been there recently not only do not accept returns but have sold me broken items. The man followed me around like I was going to steal something, and made me feel like i needed to leave. I have spent a thousand dollars in there... was treated like garbage. I settled on the 2 things I had and left. I'd rather pay full price at Costco than get treated the way I did. I didn't have pockets, I walked in to buy new towels and some blankets and left with towels...

The lady behind the counter is always friendly and helpful. I’ll continue to shop here in the future…when I’m able, that is. I live in Seattle and visit my mom in this area every few weeks and twice now, during their advertised business hours that they are open, I have stopped by and the doors have been closed. No signage to indicate that they are closed but there is the box outside that says “huge sale”. The first time was on Mother’s Day and even though the sign said they were open, they were closed for a family gathering. There needs to be some signage that they can put outside to state whether or not this business is open or closed.
