I brought my daughter to Mona Lisa's to look for a prom dress. The sales associate that literally jumped us the minute we walked in the door was one of the pushiest, rudest people we have ever met. She would NOT take no for an answer - no matter how ill fitting the dresses were. My daughter tried on a two piece dress that was 6 sizes too big at this woman's insistence. The bust was made for a "B" cup. My daughter is a "C". It absolutely did not fit, but the woman kept insisting it was perfect. It cost almost $500, whish was well out of the price range we had initially indicated. Even if it had been ordered in her size, the entire top would have had to be torn apart and re-done, and it would have looked ridiculous. The woman kept bringing her dresses that she did not like, and my daughter had stated her preferences VERY clearly. The woman would not allow me to help my daughter. My daughter is not comfortable with a stranger touching her body, especially in "private" places. I attempted to help my daughter lace up the back of one of the dresses, and the sales woman literally smacked my hands and shooed me out of the way. She inserted herself between me and my daughter and wouldn't let me near her. She had her hands all over my daughter, which made her beyond uncomfortable. The minute she realized that her over the top sales bulling was not working, she turned on us and dropped us like a hot potato and started in on a different young woman. This poor girl was plus sized, and had put on a very revealing too small dress that was not at all appropriate for her body style. The sales woman, desperate for a sale, was gushing all over how gorgeous she looked in it. Bottom line - do not go in this store unless you want to be bullied and harassed to buy a dress that doesn't fit you, and whose sales people will lie through their teeth at you just to make a sale. We found a beautiful, affordable dress at Camille La Vie in Woodfield instead. No pressure - just helpful sales...
Read moreIf I could give her zero stars I would! She was effing RUDE!!!!! I literally got kicked out in less than 5 minutes. I JUST went in to look for a dress for an event. I told the owner the event and that I was looking for a short dress. She insisted on a two piece which I told her no I want a one piece. She kept showing me two pieces after I said no. Then she showed me a very revealing dress and I told her no. I had specifically told her I wanted a one piece which was more family oriented. She literally opened the door and told me to leave that I wasn't ready to buy a dress. I told her I wanted to keep looking because she didn't even give me a chance to walk around the store and she came up to me and kept walking behind my back telling I have to have an idea of what I want and then come back or to look elsewhere. & she basically walked me to the door and shooed me away. Not to mention when I walked in she looked at me from down up and asked if I can even afford and what my price range, I told her it didn't really matter, she assumed I couldn't afford a dress like really -.- She really doesn't know how to treat her clients like people. or how to be patient. She was very pushy and insisting on a...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. Other reviewers have said the owner is sooo rude!!! 100%! I cannot believe my experience. She kept pushing and saying “would I buy the dress today.” I was looking for a dress for my birthday party in 3 weeks and she literally started yelling at me saying I was not ready to buy, that I need a dress, shoes and alterations. Have shoes BTW! lol and It’s a b-day not a wedding. First she told me the dress I liked didn’t come in the color I wanted, then she changed her mind and said if she got me the color “would I buy today??” Without even allowing me to try the dress on or see it!? Is this a dress shop or used car lot?? I bought a dress from the next shop I visited who actually took the time to help me. Don’t waist your time here! Plus the shop windows are all blacked out and I had to ring the bell 3 times before she came to the door asking if I had an appointment. When there was no one in the store and I had to ask to turn the lights on to see the dresses. The Chanel and Cartier store downtown don’t not even give this sort of treatment! what does she think she’s housing in there anyways? Not much, I can tell you that. So confused by this place....
