Speedy Tamales Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Addison Township

Let me tell you about this up and coming place speedy tamales. My wife and I were trying to decide what to eat and it went from Columbian food back to Mexican food but she said that I don’t like trying new place like Columbian food but she ended taking me to this new place any ways . When we pulled up on to the spot that we were originally stop by and eat she notice this new spot with tacos de canasta and menudo. Which immediately drop the idea of the Gorditas place we were originally gonna go eat. Upon coming in were like newly born calf stumbling in looking lost on what to do or even decide what to eat. I decided to get something I’m familiar with and went with the tacos de canasta de chicharrón and one order of de frijoles. The service was A1 compared to none everything complimented with good food the tacos were amazing it really reminded me of my family’s homemade food and style. The menudo was soft and not sticky like some may be like the taste was delicious. I even ended up getting to 2 order of tacos that contain 5 tacos in the order. It’s a nice mom and pop restaurant once we were done the owner Martin came out to greet us and introduced himself and he ask if any feedback that he would take it for constructive criticism to grow his business. Do not purchase thru the TooGoodToGo app. I highly recommend the app, I have nothing against the app. The restaurant is a rip off! Our surpise bag was 9.99 and I got 3 tamales and a cup of Menudo in my bag. The restaurant advertises on the app that the surprise bag value is over $30.00. I questioned them and they said that the meal was over 10.00, so that makes it ok. The purpose of the app is to save food from being wasted and sell at a significantlly lower price. Me and a friend went to golf at the range and wanted some mexican food after. This was close by and we made the right choice. Hospitable family owned place and vibe. Offered us some carnitas complimentary while we waited. Then we got the enchiladas which had a slight kick to them. Amazing. And then he brought out a strawberry flavored maize desert which we've never had before, also complimentary, that we split.

Long story short, it definetely felt like a family member was taking care of you and your food, which I haven't had at a restaurant in a long time. Will be going back every time...
