Went there to play Blackjack. There were only two tables available: One with a $5 minimum with no side bets and another one with a $10 minimum and a 21+3 side bet that can be equal or lesser to your main bet (don't do this, since it means you're canceling your winnings every time you strike out on your side bet at best and losing twice as much money on every lost, something I learn the hard way). Both tables had a $500 maximum limit. No hole card, meaning that the dealer draws their second card after all the players on table have decided on their hand (you only lose your initial bet when you double down or split in case of a surprise blackjack from the dealer). Played mostly on the latter table, along with a bunch of mostly superstitious seniors and a middle-aged lady who seems to be pretty lucky. They use an automatic card-shuffler after the dealer's third hand in order to mix-in dealt cards pretty quickly, so it deserves zero stars just for that garbage alone, but since Google is forcing me to give them one star, I'll say that the hotel where the casino is located looks kinda nice (didn't stay there though) and the Denny's is what you would expect from any...
Read moreOne star! The cashier girls need to learn some hospitality skills, they greet people they work with and not actually guest. I hear and see the cashier girls talking up a storm as I patiently wait to cash in and I'm the only one on line, when she's done talking she has the nerve to tap on the counter as I'm looking at her to indicate she's ready for me with no greeting or smile. I tap back on her counter and greet her as if I'm the one working. She lays my money down and I say thank you and she just gave me a nasty look ..no words like "you're welcome". I just walked away and shook my head. Wont be going there for the rest of my week here at the hotel that has the casino attached. My mom and I enjoy casinos even when we lose...
Read moreOcean Casino used to be a great time…back when they were open 24-hours. Now, the pit bosses are more concerned with getting off work than entertaining customers. We were told they close at midnight, but they shut down the table games anywhere between 11:15 and midnight, depending on their mood. They no longer comp drinks for gamblers and trying to get a drink while playing blackjack is always a struggle. Then they charge you $7 for a Medalla (the local beer that costs $2 at any other bar) 😂🙄. I do give this place two stars because the older crowd dancing to the live band is always awesome and entertaining. But as far as gambling goes, not...
