I was extremely disappointed. I went in today because of the sale going on. I understand now why entire retail chains are going out of business. Short staffing and sorry customer service. I arrived at exactly their 10:00 opening time. I went directly to the men's colognes counter. I located what I wanted to buy (Polo Body Spray) and waited to be served. At the other end of the counter a man was doing whatever he needed to do to get his cash drawer set up. I stood there and stood there. He never looked in my direction. So I thought he's not ready for me. I'll go look at belts, shorts, shirts, etc and maybe I'll see something else I'd rather buy. So I looked around about 15 minutes and then went back to the men's cologne counter. There was no one there. Two points here. First, I arrived at opening time and the men's cologne counter is not ready to do business and second it is a father's day sale on the Friday before father's day. Hello!!!!! I finally caught the attention of a lady at one of the perfume counters who said she would get someone there to help me. A young man showed up and he didn't have a clue where to look for my body spray. He asked for help from the lady who opened the door for me at 10:00. Neither one of them seemed to have a clue what drawer to look in for the Polo Body Spray although the sign in the counter says they have the spray I wanted for $23.00. They offered to order it or to find it at another store but I declined. I was so ticked off that I walked. The store lost a $23.00 sale but I'll find my Polo Body Spray somewhere else probably on line. Funny thing is I don't blame the three people on the floor. I blame management or the 3 people's supervisors. Why spend a fortune to develop, print and send out sale fliers which drives traffic into the store and then not be set up with staff and cash registers open for business when the store opens. If you wish to discuss then reply and give me your name and how to reach you Richard...

Read moreAll around good experience! Only issue was with the lady at the jewelry counter. I asked to see a couple of sapphire pieces, which I asked if they were natural or lab created because you can't tell sometimes when the stones are both deep blue in color. She told me they were and also stated she knew because she also owned one of them. Unfortunately, I took her word. Why wouldn't i?..it was in fact her job to know this information... right?? After purchase; when I was able to read the tag at home, it literally stated CR sapphire..meaning CREATED. I went back the next day & returned it. Words of advice for customers: check for authenticity for yourself!! Words of advice for Belk: hire people that know the product they're selling or offer better training. Associates are supposed to be informed representatives..Staff are only there to fill the schedule. All she did that was useful was check the prices, and a trained monkey...
