Would give zero stars. My family has given this restaurant business for years. My husband gets me a to-go plate here almost every week. I don't eat meat, and I love the green beans they serve here. My husband went in tonight to get me greenbeans. He tells the lady at the register, she says her name is Helen, that he is getting a to-go plate. She says "okay, go ahead". He goes to the buffet and sees no green beans and one of the cooks from the back came out, very friendly gentleman, and let's him know they are out. He goes on to say the green beans are popular and they should have more tomorrow. My husband leaves, and before he can back out of parking lot the lady from the register is knocking on his window and saying he didn't pay. Of course he let's her know they didn't have the green beans and how he spoke to the guy from the kitchen. She goes on and on saying he was sitting at a table with his friends and he didn't pay for his food. Basically insinuating he resembled another African American gentleman she saw in there eating at a table. I don't know what made her finally drop her false claim, but we will not be giving them our business ever again. What if she would have called the cops...my husband would have been in a very negative situation due to her ignorance. I also don't appreciate her making it seem like the black man is being dishonest or stealing. She obviously isn't good at her job if my husband was in and out in a few minutes and was talking to a cook, out in the open, where she could see. I'm beyond disappointed that one person had to ruin our love for this establishment and the great service of the other employees we have...
Read moreSo after coming in from work, I decided to come here to the eastern buffet and at first glance it looks like a typical hole in the wall that can have good food. Well, surprisingly they probably do, but the overall set up, and the knowledge of the workers needs immense work. For all you can eat buffet it wasn’t very all you can eat like there were items that were dried out and not fresh looking and from the looks of it, though it was early enough. It looked like they were about to close, which means there still should’ve been food coming out. Their staging is horrible so then I went over to the hibachi station and that was even worse. What person who cooks meat doesn’t know the difference between medium rare medium, medium well and well done the guy is cooking the steaks all The same, which indicates a lack of proper training there should be rice in the hibachi area. The guy didn’t even cut up my steak. I had to literally go to the front and find a knife, sharp enough to cut it myself. It’s just like the people who work that don’t care about where they are or what they’re serving. It makes you question the quality of the food. I can’t say that I will be returning. This is definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had as far as a Chinese buffet and this wasn’t even the smallest that I’ve been to, but for one as small as this one, they can do 300% better than what they are doing right now the spot needs a major overhaul...
Read moreI wish I could give Eastern Buffet zero stars, because this place is a health hazard masquerading as a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were hit with a nauseating stench—like something had died and was left to rot. The lighting is so dim you can barely see what you're eating, which might be a blessing given the state of the food. The entire place is coated in grime; the floors, walls, tables, and chairs are sticky and filthy, like they haven’t been cleaned in years. The men’s restroom was a new low—worse than the grimiest no-name gas station bathroom I’ve ever seen. There was actual feces smeared on the walls and, somehow, the ceiling. I’m still baffled by how that’s physically possible. I took my toddler in there and regretted it instantly. The dining area is no better. They had raw oysters on the buffet, but you’d need a death wish to eat anything raw from this place. The rest of the food looked questionable at best—greasy, lukewarm, and unidentifiable. My poor toddler didn’t even make it out the door before throwing up everything he ate. As I’m writing this, my stomach is churning, and I’m praying I don’t end up sick too. I’ve been to countless Chinese restaurants and even worked at one, so I know what a decent one looks like—this isn’t it. Eastern Buffet is a disgusting, unsanitary disaster. Save your money and your health....
