The employee I spoke with said that they were still trying to get themselves together for the "grand opening,' but they don't know when that will be. I think it still needs work. The staff are pleasant and accommodating, and I have no issue with their customer service. The food would be better if it was thoroughly heated. I do not perceive a food safety issue, because it was obvious that the chicken was pre-cooked, all the way through, but it was then pulled from either a frozen or refrigerated state, then thrown in the wok. In their rush to get the dish out to the table I ended up with chicken pieces that were hot on one end and cold on the other. My question is, why are y'all rationing broccoli? I got one sprig of broccoli in the whole dish. Did the Jolly Green Giant flee the country? I don't know about that mayo-based sauce on the side of the teriyaki dish. It was not something I have ever seen with Asian food, and it didn't add much. The overall taste of the dish was just meh for me; it wasn't bad, but it wasn't outstanding: it tasted like typical casual chain food to me. The decor was pleasant, but they could use better ventilation, as I frequently experience in diners and Asian restaurants where a lot of cooking oil is being used and there is not optimal vent capacity. I tried the Thai tea, and it was kind of weak and I think it is a powdered mix rather than a brew; and the taro pieces in it had an odd texture; I prefer tapioca boba pearls. I applaud the variety of food, as we don't have a similar restaurant in Aiken, and it is not terribly expensive to dine there. However, I think they need to use a thermometer to check temperature before serving if they are going to take that approach to their food...
Read moreThis place is hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Words fail me to describe this delicious place as everything is extremely yummy and high quality. The food looks good AND tastes good. The second you take a bite, your taste buds explode with the flavor and pure awesomeness. The creative design here was clearly made by the best of the best. The service is incredibly nice, and everything is good. All in all, this restaurant has a superb taste, service, and atmosphere.
