If I could leave 0 stars, I would. A group of us came here to have a Christmas Eve meal together before we dispersed to go spend time with our families. Upon arriving, we were seated and our orders were taken. A few people came in after us and their food was delivered in a timely manner. After AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, our meals finally came. My Pancake Combo which consisted of pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, and Turkey bacon were all cold and the bacon was barely cooked. Most of our orders were wrong, missing, or cold, and we constantly had to remind our waiter of what we were still waiting for. I sent my food back and asked to speak with the Manager on duty but he/she refused to come out. The waitress went ahead and discounted our tickets without the Manager and while I paid nothing (since I didn’t eat), some of my friends still paid with little to no discount. Are you serious? An HOUR AND A HALF wait only to receive subpar food?! Not one of us were satisfied! In my opinion, ALL of our meals should have been discounted AT LEAST 50% or FREE! And then on top of that, a friend of ours paid with cash and never received cash back. So the waitress tipped herself without asking or double checking. Unbelievable.
This is/was unacceptable service. The fact that the Manager refused to come out and speak to us or at least offer an apology is the epitome of unprofessionalism and poor customer service. I understand that this establishment only reopened 2 weeks ago since the March lockdown of COVID-19, but there is just no excuse for service like that. If I hadn’t been successful in ordering only my New York Cheesecake pancake stack using my “pan” dollars, we wouldn’t have bothered at all. Since we had to still get those I decided to call the Aiken Restaurant and report their technical problems and place a take out order. I quickly discovered the phone number was not in service! This number was attached to the email from the restaurant confirming my New York style cheesecake pancake order was waiting for me. I then had to look to google for an accurate number, take a deep breath, count to ten, and inform the person answering the phone of the problems I encountered on-line in the app, and hopefully order the food everyone still wanted, even though I was certain my Cheesecake, pancakes for stone cold by then. Alexis answered the phone and she was pleasant, apologetic, and professional. That level of behavior is no longer the norm and though she had no authority to modify or rectify the issues, she assured me she will inform her manager. Our waitress was awful, she had a general "I dont want to be here" attitude and we had to call her over to our table to actually get service. To be exact, I dont want to sound like a Karen but there were only 3 tables at the time, they were not busy in any sense. Yes I can still say that cause I saw the kitchen staff standing around talking so it wasnt like they had call ins. I'm not usually picky like this but it was THAT bad. My mother in law ordered 3 things. She has dietary restrictions so she cannot have milk or milk products or she will throw up. Not an exaggeration. First thing she ordered and she immediately saw cheese pouring melting out of her burrito when she specified 3 times with the waitress no cheese and told her why. She had to send it back. About 20 minutes passed before she got her second order, which was perfect, nothing wrong with it. An hour into her meal, after her 1st order came back, she inquired about her third order and the waitress said she had never heard that order.
