I was born and raised in Akron and remember coming here in elementary school on a field trip. That's about all I remembered about Perkins Stone Mansion, and I've always wanted to go back. It's a pretty stone Georgian home and grounds on Copley Rd. I took a tour, and it was very interesting. There was also information about the Perkins family, and there were indeed sheep still roaming the grounds. It was a very hot June day, but it was cool inside the house due to the 14 inch solid stone walls.
