The food is really good but some critiques and things customers should be aware of: Customers: -She was the only one cooking and serving, be kind, be patient -People need to tip. She was shocked to get one.
Critiques:
There needs to be a bigger sign with a white background. We almost missed it. She is in a prime location but I think no one knows she is there.
Atomsphere is ok. No one was in there. Food is hot and made to order. Decorum was typical and slight industrial but not modern industrial. Bathroom door doesn’t lock or close properly. I would fix asap.
Pancakes are a 10. I think she adds sugar in the batter. Grits are a 7. I would have gave a 10 if she changed the water used. It tasted hard and metallic or as we say “ toliet or cleaning “ water. Since the tap is hard, use bottled or a filter then the grits would be a 10. Sausages are more like scrapple. Very greasy. Needs dried out.
Cheese to egg ratio is high. I would lower the amount of cheese. It’s product waste eventually and just overpowers eggs. -Offer toast. Most restaurants that do breakfast have toast. It’s an American staple. Be flexible with breakfast. Offer healthy options
I think the food overall is really good, however, the competition is fierce. I would source sausage and bacon from a local farmers market to get higher quality meats for cheap. Lower grease and fatty cheeses. This is old fashion good heavy armed cooking and is some of the best old school cooking in Summit Cty but just tweak a bit and it will be 10/10.
Overall, for food, service, cost and atmosphere we rate a 6 /10. If the items above are correct it would be a...
Read moreSo pulling up to the restaurant, I got hit with nostalgia because I remember it was once a corner store as a kid. Walking into the establishment, you get greeted by staff and given a menu which had a good amount of dishes to choose from. I ordered the shrimp and grits breakfast meal, it took about 16 minutes to get to me(one cook, but you couldn’t tell lol). The meal came with a plate of home-fries and scrambled eggs with cheese, and a bowl which contained the shrimp and grits. Tasting the home fries, they were crunchy with a well seasoned exterior. The cheesy eggs were soft, fluffy, and didn’t need seasoning at all. So when it came to the shrimp and grits, I took a bite of those grits a they were so delicious, seasoned just right in my opinion. The shrimp weren’t small neither and whatever the shrimp was cooked in, helped make the combination of the shrimp and grits go crazy! So to end this review, if you’re looking for a nice breakfast experience, with friends or family. I suggest you go to Breakfast in Bed by LaCole. Great atmosphere, positive energy...
Read moreHomemade, delicious breakfast! Not from the area, was in town for a wedding and found this on google and was not disappointed.! A beautiful, red hair young lady greeted us almost immediately and sat us. The other lovely young lady made sure to check on us and take our dirty dishes and we finished. The owner and her cook were also cooking and communicating with us as well!
My gps informed me, “i arrived” and i wasnt sure what the place was because I didnt see the name on the building from afar, so i attached a picture of what the place looks like to help anyone not from the area in the future.
Everyone seemed in good spirits and this lady KNOWS what shes doing so, if your looking to support a growing small business and have a taste for some good ol, southern type breakfast, this is the place. Ate breakfast at 11am. It is now 4 pm and i still have half an omelet left!😫
Didnt post the menu as she have some items not posted so dont be afraid to ask questions.
🍳🥓🥞GOOD LUCK ON YOUR RESTAURANT...
