If you’re looking for a night of adrenaline-fueled fun, this corn maze escape room delivers in spades. The experience is a perfect blend of eerie atmosphere, clever puzzles, and jump-scare thrills that will keep you on edge from start to finish.

From the moment you step into the winding cornfield, the mood is set — rustling stalks, foggy paths, and live actors lurking just out of sight. The performers were incredible at blurring the line between game and nightmare, popping out when we least expected it and driving the story forward in a way that felt natural (and terrifying!).

The puzzles struck a great balance between challenging and achievable. Each clue tied seamlessly into the farmyard horror theme, from unlocking hidden gates to piecing together creepy riddles scratched onto barn walls. Solving them under pressure while hearing distant screams made the whole thing so much more intense.

What really impressed me was the pacing. The scares were spaced perfectly between moments of problem-solving, so you never felt rushed but also never had time to fully relax. By the end, our whole group was sprinting for the exit, laughing and screaming in equal measure.

Verdict: 🌽🗝️🎭 If you love escape rooms, haunted houses, or just want to test your nerves with friends, this is an absolute must-try. It’s creative, immersive, and just the right amount of scary.

Having been to quite a few different escape room companies around Orlando, I can easily say that this is the best one.

The first room I did with them was the Arctic Escape. This was a phenomenally fun experience, with well themed sections that didn't feel like I was simply walking through a door. There are so many prop items that make the room feel real, but its still easy to tell what is and isn't a clue. Additionally, the host for this game, Willow, did a fantastic job in making the experience real. There was great acting and awesome puzzle one after the other.

The second room I have done with them is my favorite escape room I have ever completed. Cornstalkers is both an engaging and scary experience, with a different vibe for each section that you enter. Without spoiling anything, this room is beautifully decorated, and the detail in every area means that you truly have to explore the setting while potentially being stalked. Additionally, the experience was made even better by our wonderful host, Michael, who maintained the horror tone with jabs of humor in between. His personality really shines in this room and just from a short talk after finishing we could all tell how much he enjoys his work.

Overall, I rate The Escape Ventures in Waterford Lakes a 10/10. 5 points for the expertly crafted and well thought out rooms, and 5 points for the amazing team members...

Ah! Oh my gosh... can't say enough about this place! We love Derek and Cjs games! We've played all their rooms at all their locations and every single one has been a blast. We've been eagerly awaiting cornstalkers release since we first heard about it about a year or so ago. We finally played it tonight and it was phenomenal! Definitely worth the wait. Rina was our GM and she did a stellar job. Everyone involved has a passion for what they do, and it shows. Really sets them apart from other games in the area.

The Ventures team consistently pump out top tier rooms on a level even most big name franchise escape rooms can't compete with. Their masterful approach at implementing acting to supplement the storyline, with intuitive puzzles, and immersive build quality consistently lands then at the top of our list of favs. We've played 350 rooms and oftentimes we find escape rooms replay the same old themes again and again, but The Escape Ventures always deliver a unique and exciting experience. If you haven't been here before, you've GOT to try it. All their rooms are great, you can't go wrong. Once you play one, you'll want to visit all their other locations and do them too lol. Now we're just waiting for the next one.
