The Tavern East — Restaurant in Florida

I had really high hopes in seeing YDG play this past Friday night; my first time to this venue. What an utter disappointment. Sound quality was complete trash; no wubz, no bass. The visuals were projected on to white painted, framed sections of the walls. What is an edm show with no lasers?! The only remotely close thing to strobes was the flash from the cameraman behind the artists… no, but really!

Pros: Venue wasn’t over sold, so lots of room to dance/flow. Ticket was extremely cheap (although I would pay more for better visuals and sound system). Loved being up and close to the artist without having security in my face or a rail holding me back from getting up close and personal.

Very disappointed that Heyz is playing here on the 21st, as I don’t want to deal with the bad sound and lack of visuals. Not sure if I’ll be back. Rather go to Celine or Vanguard...

I visited this establishment once before and had a pleasant experience, which led us to return with friends. Overall, we had previously enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. However, during this recent visit, we were surprised to find a $3.50 charge for each water—a charge that was not present during our initial visit. This was unexpected, as I have never encountered a separate charge for water at any restaurant, and there was no indication on the menu that it would be a paid item.

Additionally, we noticed that the birria melts were significantly smaller compared to what we had received during our visit in January. Given the reduced portion size, the $16.99 price point felt disproportionately high.

We were excited to give this place a try mainly because of the google reviews. And I’d say this seems like a great spot to have drinks when the game is on or if you want to enjoy some live music but all these reviews about “best food I’ve ever had”…. Don’t go here with those expectations. My kids eating like Jessie Spano when she had that caffeine pill addiction gives me the opportunity try a little bit of everyone’s food. The smash burger and pork burrito were decent. But I’d avoid the wings.
