Really disappointing experience with the service department. I dropped a new to me BMW off for a preseason tune up and just wanted it checked over by the a BMW "expert". They didn't check anything on it except change the oil and brake fluid. The bike smoked like crazy for 2 days burning off whatever fluid they spilled on it during the maintenance. Never once mentioned over the phone that the battery may need replaced, just said to maybe not turn it off until I get home. Never mentioned that their software wasn't working well before I dropped the bike off and they couldn't reset the maintenance reminder lights. They didn't check the tire pressure until I asked when I picked up the bike and told me they "forgot" to check why the TPMS weren't reading. They didn't check chain sag or condition. When I picked up the bike I was told I owed almost $200 more then what was quoted for the oil change and brake fluid flush when I dropped the bike off. The lady at the counter couldn't provide an explanation as to why it was more, just shop "fees". I sent an email with these concerns to the shop but no one contacted me back. I would have been way better off doing the work myself and buying the...
Read moreWhile visiting family in Fairbanks, I decided to look for a place to rent a motorcycle since both my brother-in-law and I ride Harleys at home. I discovered that Delta Powersports rents Indians, and I’ve always wanted to try one—this was the perfect opportunity! I rented a gorgeous Springfield, and it was an amazing bike with great power and a smooth ride.
We went on a day ride, and I got to see beautiful Alaska up close and personal. The staff at Delta Powersports was fantastic, especially Brian Lee, who set me up and found the perfect fitting helmet for me. He also helped me get acquainted with the Indian’s features and was very patient as I asked my questions. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Their rental inventory is impressive, with nine bikes to choose from, catering to various preferences and riding styles. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful, and they genuinely appreciated my business.
It was the perfect final day of my Alaskan trip, and I can’t stop thinking about that ride even now as I’m heading home. I can’t wait to come back for a longer...
Read moreLong story, I rode the Dalton highway and blew the fork seals out on my Africa Twin. Called ahead three days to be sure they could have the parts to repair my bike so I could ride the 4000 miles home. After 7 hours in the shop I rolled out with one fixed fork and the other blowing oil everywhere. I reluctantly paid my very expensive bill and road 1700 miles to another shop in Canada. They fixed everything and had me on the road in 3 hours, including all new brake pads due to the oil damage.
After complaining, the service manager took care of me and apologized for the errors and refunded my money. I did not list all the problems in this post because Troy made it right and the shop should be applauded for that. But it was a huge pain. It appears that I caught them in a very understaffed time and my experience...
