This is a rating due to a combination of a lot of things!
Pizza, it is obviously a fast delivery place, I don't have complaints, it is better than anything you can get delivered in the area, and in fact, with the fresh ingredients I actually love it. PLUS Reindeer sausage and they generally are nice enough to let me swap out one of the toppings for another (I am allergic but I Think even if I said I don't like them they would be fine swapping out the veggies). They are always loaded, and I like the aged dough.
They have great delivery specials which are constant. Their Pepperoni rolls are lovely, and with their AMAZING $5 family sized salad, I have lunch for five days!!
Delivery is always timely and they warn if they are going to be more than 30 minutes. The six packs of soda are reasonably priced and I like that they have Diet Dr. Pepper, it is a treat. The fact they know my name now is not just because I love them that much, we work hard and it is the only delivery. Thank goodness!
Pizza goes from 4-5 stars depending on the night an the oven temps and who is making it. Deliver is always a 5 star. I have had two problems, serious ones with them. It was handled so professionally I have to give kudos to the people who run this place from Anchorage to Fairbanks! The owner should be proud of his team! You can tell the employees have pride with their job, and that shows every time they answer the phone and knock on the door with my dinner. Management at the Airport Way place needs more than five stars and the regional guy is amazing. OK Gushing. I think that even if you have a food that is not gourmet, if you have customer service that shines, it makes everything taste better!
Thanks for being such a great...
Read more*Horrible customer service from management - okay pizza. Not worth the hassel.
Just called to order a pizza and was greeted with the usual "thank you for calling .... please hold". After waiting three minutes a man answers and asks for my info. When I told him where I lived I heard another person pick up the line and yell "University West" and another more clear voice was on the line taking my order. While asking why specials they had going on there was a very loud clicking sound coming from the phone with other voices (as clicking would go in and out) on his end so I asked if someone else was on the line. The man becomes irritated at my question and becomes rushed and rude for the duration of the call.
After ordering he asked "cash or credit"? When I said credit he asked for my CC information and I hesitated and asked how secure the phone was because of previous loud clicking on and off. The man got upset and said "do you want a pizza or not?" while being sarcastic about my asking the question. I began to ask to speak a manager and he cut me off saying he was the evening floor manager. I told him how unprofessional the customer service was considering it was a valid question and I could just simply call somewhere else. He begins to retract his words and I just cut him off and said "I understand you may be busy and frustrated but there's no excuse for this. Can I just pay for my pizza and I will never call back?" He took CC info, said it will be 45 mins to an hour and then slammed the phone very loudly hanging up on me. Wow, never had that happen before. Never will.
Now I'm worried there will be spit in...
Read moreHow important is customer service midst the Covid-19 Pandemic? When I spend nearly $27 for one large specialty pizza of hard-earned money, it would be great to receive at least good customer service. Last week, one of the guys who served me had a lousy attitude and gave the business a benefit of doubt that it was the individual employee. Today, another employee was almost screaming at the top of his lungs about how he is over-worked and "multi-tasked to death," before he took my order and he was in a lousy state, worst than the guy last week. Twenty minutes later, I returned to pick-up the order and a young lady ignored me and looked at me as if I was bothering her. Then, I learned something today; the issue is not an individual problem, but they all reflect the management of this business. I spoke to a 59 year-old man who's born and raised in Fairbanks and he said, Alaska is different and Fairbanks is different that they are friendly and hospitable. Well, "Great Alaska Pizza Company" is the worst example of what was said. It should be changed to "OK AK Pizza Co." I gave two-stars, because pizza tastes good. Great Pizza + Great Service = Great...
