Sunrise Bagel & Espresso — Restaurant in Alaska

My wife and I stopped today for some ice cream at the Airport Road Sunrise. I ordered a large cone and a medium strawberry milkshake. The person told me the charge was $8.75. I replied that it should be $8.25. I went over the order again. Large cone, med. strawberry shake, but she insisted it was $8.75. So instead of arguing any further I gave her the $8.75 and waited for the shake. A bit later the other person handed out the shake and thanked me. As we were pulling away from the window my wife said "look at this". The shake was so thin it looked like pink water. I backed up to the window and the original person asked what the problem was . The price sign was right there and it clearly detailed the prices. I said "You should change the sign to reflect your actual price." From then on the persons hearing failed and I was unable to speak to her further. We always try to buy local, etc. but sometimes it gets pretty hard. And the "milkshake" ended up in...

I'm staying in the hotel across the street and wanted an early morning breakfast. A Breakfast burrito was exactly what I wanted and I heard Sunrise made some good ones (I don't like any of the HIGH sodium store-bought varieties). I stopped in the evening and told them I wanted one - uncooked - because I was going to micro-wave it in the morning. The barista told me she had to cook it because of the eggs - okay. She was very polite and on-point. She made it up and handed it out. I guess I hadn't given it enough thought - it was delivered to me exactly like it would have been handed out the window in the morning. It was a GREAT way to start my day. Absolutely superb service at this location. I come here every morning and Alyesa (I’m so sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) always greets me with a smile and always engages in conversation. This morning I had forgotten my wallet but didn’t realize until I was at the window, so I said I would just be leaving since I didn’t have any payment. Alyesa said no worries and still made me my usual coffee and sandwich under the premise I pay tomorrow morning (I absolutely will, and a big tip will be included too). This location rocks!
