We run several vacation rental homes and have installed spas at multiple locations.
Unfortunately, several years ago, I made the mistake of purchasing my first spa in Anchorage at one of The Waterworks' competing companies here in town, and while I do love my spa, I was (and continue to be) very disappointed in the service after the sale. I was also not impressed with the lack of supplies and chemicals available at "the other guy" when I was looking for specific chemicals to maintain my spas. The salesperson I purchased my spa from left the company quickly after I bought my spa, and the service department has changed employees multiple times. I utilized that company's water changeout services for a while and was dismayed to discover that the crew was not actually cleaning out my spa like they were contracted to do, and when I canceled with prepaid services on their books, they did not provide any credit, refund, or option to apply the prepaid funds toward supplies or chemicals, despite repeated requests to do so.
The various issues with the other company led me to searching for other spa sales and service companies in Anchorage, and ultimately to discovering The Waterworks. From the moment I first walked in to the old store location right at opening time one day, I was greeted by all of the employees in a circle for a morning meeting. They immediately looked my way and multiple smiling faces all welcomed me in. They made me feel like I was the honored guest finally arriving to the party!
I was specifically looking for a filter for a spa we had inherited with a property purchase that we fill with well water that has high iron content. Nate Droemer suggested a hose filter, and a liquid additive he recommended adding with every water change. Since that very first visit, we have purchased the vast majority of our chemicals and supplies at The Waterworks, utilizing both the Anchorage and Eagle River locations.
Nate's knowledgeable, friendly approach and will-do attitude was so refreshing and stuck with me long after our initial interaction, to the point that I told my husband, "if we ever buy another hot tub, we're coming here!"
Sure enough, we've since been in the market for two more spas and have purchased both of them from Nate and the team at The Waterworks. Without question, this company holds the highest standard of service, integrity, and care for the customer. They embody the qualities a business should have, putting the customer first and treating them like family.
I've always been so impressed with communication from Nate, Kali, Alyssa, and the install and service teams. When we've had an issue, they have addressed it promptly and gone above and beyond expectations to care for my concerns. I also greatly appreciate that they stock chemicals and supplies that can be difficult to get shipped up to Alaska, at a fair price.
I recommend and refer Nate and the Waterworks team to anyone I know that is in the market for a spa or sauna, because I trust that my friends, clients, and colleagues can trust the products, service, and care that he and The Waterworks crew will always...
Read moreWe purchased an Endless Pools swim spa from the Waterworks – and we are so pleased with the product and the entire team! We knew going into this that you’re not just buying a product – you are buying the customer service that goes along with this product. I’d read enough online reviews elsewhere about the Endless Pools to know that a great team with follow-up and professionalism would be the key to being a happy customer. Wow did we choose the right team. Starting with Nate Droemer in sales, who is just phenomenal, I knew we were in good hands. His enthusiasm is contagious – his follow through is impeccable. It’s been a year since the pool was delivered, and I still get immediate responses to any questions I may have. Nate was a huge part of our decision to purchase – he established and has maintained our trust. Next were the site visits from Tim. He made two different trips to our home, spent quite a bit of time with us, made measurements and recommendations for possible installation locations, and finally helped us come to the conclusion that placing the pool in our garage would be the most efficient, cost-effective location on our very challenging piece of property. A few coats of marine paint on the walls, and some Costco all weather mats and we’re thrilled with the location. We chose to install a heat recovery ventilation system to prevent moisture buildup, and the Waterworks team helped us gather the data we needed to spec a system. It’s a garage install – but the value of being able to do a swim workout at the drop of a hat has upped our fitness level and we love the convenience. It’s also been an amazing recovery tool for physical therapy, priceless aid in keeping me from having to have knee surgery, and a fun winter refuge on a night when we just want to soak in warm water with the jets on. The delivery and install of the pool in our challenging location (up on the side of a mountain) was flawless, and the guys were wonderful. A weather delay and equipment problems (not the fault of Waterworks) delayed things a bit – but we were so impressed that the Waterworks team just took it in stride and got the delivery done the following day – cheerfully and professionally. A few bugs needed to be worked out after the water fill – and Waterworks was immediately there to help me. Alyssa was on top of all the coordination communication – and always responds promptly to my calls. The entire team and all the communication was top notch – you really couldn’t ask for a better group. In a nutshell, this family run business cares about its customers and does everything possible to make sure your needs are met. We highly...
Read moreMy partner and I had decided it was time to get a hot tub to make the winters a bit more bearable. We initially decided to shop online and possibly buy from a wholesaler. After researching online I also requested quotes via email from 3 of the local dealers, The Waterworks being one of them. Nate from The Waterworks was not only the first to respond but also let me know what he had available in the price range we had specified, and matched all our wants/needs for a tub, while providing a plethora of information, and since the state fair was going, he made sure we were able to utilize the current promotions. I work remote and Nate was able to accommodate communicating via email until I was able to make it in to town to look at the tub with my partner and sign paperwork. The Waterworks continued to be as easy to work with after we had committed to buying as they were when we were prospective buyers. We chose an in stock tub to get the quickest turn around possible before winter. Tim made himself available to do the walkthrough at our place, gave recommendations on the tub install and placement. The electricians recommended by The Waterworks were also great to work with, multiple journeymen electricians reviewed their quote and agreed it was more than fair. Alyssa was also in contact consistently giving us updates, and confirming delivery dates. There was a hiccup with the final delivery, equipment issues meant the delivery and install would be delayed roughly 18 hours. They were quick to inform us of the issue, and Michael still made it out that day to go over the install that would now take place the next day. Michael then arrived ahead of schedule the next day for install. He was very thorough in explaining each steps of the installation and future care of the tub, he was friendly and receptive to all the questions I had and made it clear that The Waterworks would be there to help if we had any questions in the future. Overall we had a very good experience with The Waterworks, we started off a bit wary of being sold to and ended up extremely satisfied each...
