Tikahtnu Commons — Attraction in Alaska

Took the family to a matinee movie this weekend. The movie theater was clean and well-kept. The concession counter was as usual, expensive. The movie itself was in crisp focus and not too loud, quite enjoyable. After the movie my child wanted to play a few video games in the lobby. I only had a $10 dollar bill on me so I went to the concession stand to get change. The young man working there said there's a change machine by the video games. I explained to him, the change machine takes $1 and $5 bills only, this is a $10 so I'm unable to exchange it for coins. He simply said we don't make change here at the concessions counter, you'd have to purchase something. I further explained to him I had already enjoyed the movie and I already spent $30 in tasty popcorn and soda concessions, so unless you can help me with this $10 spot you can kick rocks. So this nice Saturday morning outing took a bad turn because of some young man (punk) at the concession stand. Of course I'm sure he was just doing what he was told to do. But one can always make exceptions for the customer. Because it's all about customer service and his was lacking that day. Other than that it was an enjoyable outing...

If you're looking to kill some time relaxing, the Regal Cinema usually has the latest and best movies, the theaters are clean and comfy, and the screens are massive and beautiful.

And last but certainly not least, you can knock out a lot of your daily shopping needs with a Target and Bestbuy side by side, across from a Kohl's, and a Brown Jug (for wine and spirits). There's even a holiday store that's recently obtained a larger building, for the coming Halloween preparations you'll be doing!

Nothing against the businesses at or patrons and drivers packed in there.. but it can take a pretty crazy amount of time to just get in or out of this place forcing me to really need a reason to go there (like my gfs families poke shop.. best poke you'll have today..💯) if I must. Nice shops (mostly franchise / big box etc etc) that cater to the bx military / contiguous lower 48 / "real cities" stores like olive garden, pita pit et al. But only venture there if you have at least an hour if you plan on shopping or sitting cuz.. that traffic will raise your blood pressure more than the...
