We had a less than memorable experience tonight, thanks to the staff in the club level at the Isotopes game. My partner and I purchased club level tickets tonight as a precursor to the possibility of getting season tickets. We live close by and have always enjoyed the games. We entered at the club level entrance with our tickets and were given bands that we were told would give us club level access from this point on. When we got upstairs, we were abruptly stopped from moving forward to our seats without again showing our tickets to an elderly woman manning the club level entrance, despite the neon wristbands we sported that we were told would grant us access. After being questioned again as to whether we belonged upstairs on club level, she justified it as needing to "point us in the right direction". Okay, fine, we will let it go. So we take off for food and drinks and eventually settle into our seats. We sat next to the NICEST couple and chatted with them throughout the game. I am dealing with a recent sprained ankle and had a brace on it to control swelling. A few innings later, I propped my hurt foot onto my knee which inadvertently also rested on the railing in front of me. We were in the first row (A) of the club level with the railing and a wall in front of us. Between the awkward position of resting my ankle on my knee while being sandwiched between two people, it was the best I could do to get comfortable. The elderly Isotopes worker from earlier, approached me and requested I take my foot down from the rail as it was a safety hazard. I looked at her puzzled, explained my recent injury as why I was seated that way, but complied. I did not have my leg propped on the railing for support. But it did "touch" the gap in the railing of the club level balcony. Meanwhile, we were seated directly in front of 8 teenagers, with their feet kicked up onto the seats directly behind us, in our face. We had not said a word about this up until this point because we didn't want to cause problems. After correcting me, the elderly female Isotopes worker proceeded to stop and ask if these teenagers were "comfy". Those words verbatim! We had spent the majority of this game with the size 12 Reeboks of this tween behind me, in my face and they're concerned with his comfort but upset at my visibly injured ankle? Is this a joke? When I voiced my concern at the situation to a male working in this section (306) he seemed uninterested in my complaint. I don't understand why. Is it perhaps due to our demographics?: lesbian couple, one with many tattoos). We are career professionals and not used to this type of behavior. It certainly changes my mind about purchasing season tickets in club level with that type of behavior from staff. It's a shame because we had both looked forward to...
Read moreI got to go check out a baseball game with my boy and his friends. It was one of those wonderful dad son moments. I got me an overpriced beer which is to be expected when going to one of these events. They could definitely bring down the price on some of the food. Some of the snack food prices were unjustifiable. Otherwise, had a good time. Wish they had some kind of a system setup for blind individuals so that it would be easier for me to follow the game. Another thing was, a lot of the staff seem to be having a bad night. It was pretty obvious that they were all in a bad mood, and stressed out. It was pretty obvious to everybody that was standing around me that these individuals did not think very well of their jobs. I would kill to have a job. It definitely took away from the quality of the night. We all still enjoyed ourselves very much. Another issue is, I was trying to find out where the smokers go to have their filthy cigarettes so that I may enjoy my disgusting habit of smoking. Nobody could tell me where it was that I was supposed to go. When I lit up a cigarette what does d staff members to the baseball field came up to me in a hostile Manner and was able to inform me without a doubt that I was standing in the wrong place. They could definitely work on their professionalism a whole lot. It is a problem in Albuquerque for all ages especially among the younger range of individuals. Respect, and honor have been somewhat depleted in this area. Other than that I would definitely recommend checking out a baseball game here. Just try not to bother the staff of the...
Read moreSuper fun but DO NOT BUY ORBIT BUCKS they're a STRAIGHT SCAM!!!!!! They don't accept cash so if you want to pay in cash you have exchange it for Orbit bucks. The exchange is the same price as regular dollars but Orbit bucks come as $2 Orbit bills everything at the park is evenly priced so after tax hits, your some change over or at an odd number, they don't give you any change meaning you have to give them more money than what its priced. Funnel cake priced at $10 came out to $11 had to give them $12. A slice of pizza came out to $6.60 I had to pay $8 in Orbit bucks meaning they got $2.40 in extra money which is ridiculous and dumb because if I was short a few cents they wouldn't give me the food so why should I have to over pay them? Let's do some math if 200 visitors are using Orbit bucks and buy a slice of pizza that means they make $480 in extra money. Tell me that's not a scam. Not all vendors made me give them more when I was some change over which I greatly appreciated (the alcohol & cotton candy stand). Anyways just bring your card and pay that way. But this park should add different amounts in Orbit bucks or some Orbit change because their scamming people big time with that or just get rid of Orbit bucks. Their getting hundreds if not thousands of dollars in free money every game by using these Orbit bucks. On top of that the Orbit bucks expire and you cant get your money back for unused bucks. There's tons of Police at these games so I don't understand why they cant just accept cash the only reason I can think of is because they're reaping the benefits of...
