Nestled right here in the heart of the city is a little gem that brings the rich harvests of southern New Mexico to our doorstep. This farm stand, a true embodiment of the farm-to-table ethos, is run by a family whose roots stretch deep into the fertile lands of Deming, NM. While their farm may be hours away, their dedication to bringing the freshest and most flavorful chiles to the local community makes the journey well worth it.

For years, this stand has been our go-to destination for the best chiles around. There’s something about the experience that keeps us coming back. From the moment you step out of your car, you’re hit with the intoxicating aroma of freshly roasted chiles that fills the air—a scent that signals both the arrival of harvest season and the promise of flavor-packed dishes ahead. The rustic charm of the stand, with its friendly, knowledgeable staff, makes every visit feel like catching up with old friends. You’ll often find the owners themselves behind the counter, ready to share a story about their farm or offer cooking tips to make the most of your purchase.

Beyond the unbeatable quality of their produce, the prices here are refreshingly fair. In a world where farm-to-table often comes with a steep price tag, this place remains grounded, offering some of the best deals you’ll find for chile in the region. And the quality? Absolutely unmatched. These chiles are consistently plump, vibrant, and bursting with flavor, whether you’re buying them fresh, roasted, or dried. We’ve tried other places over the years, but nothing quite compares to the depth and richness of flavor we get here.

Whether you’re stocking up for a season of green chile stew or looking for the perfect batch of red to dry for the winter, this farm stand delivers every time. It’s become a ritual for us—an annual pilgrimage that signals the changing seasons and keeps us connected to the rich agricultural traditions of New Mexico. For anyone serious about their chiles, or just looking to support a fantastic local business, this spot is an absolute must. The charm, the people, the smells, and of course, the incredible produce—it’s the best of New Mexico, all...

A family farm that has been in business, from my understanding, 151 years. I stopped by to get chili. đŸŒ¶ïž My nephew was coming to Albuquerque from California and asked if I would get him some Hatch chile. The time frame did not allow for me to go south, but since I was passing through San Antonio, where are the famous Owl Cafe is located, the Sickler Farm is located right across the street. I asked one of the produce stock clerks if this đŸŒ¶ïž was as good or better than the hatch chile, and of course the answer would be.... I was told that I could sample the chili for heat and they have the Extra hot, Hot, Medium and Mild. I tried sampling the Extra-hot đŸ”„đŸŒ¶ïž first and I was immediately confronted with a fire that I would have expected from a Carolina reaper or a Trinidad scorpion (both of which I've never experienced before). Secondly I sampled a HotđŸŒ¶ïžđŸ˜‚ and although it made my tears and sweat flow, I was able to tolerate that heat range that would be a good salsa with tomatoes and such making for a 😋 tasty salsa. It is a convenient location, not far off the interstate I-25 within about a quarter mile. Clean and...

I'm a New Mexico native who had to move out of state due to health reasons, and it's the holiday season and we all know what that means. You need posole and you need chile. I was in a bit of a time crunch because of Thanksgiving My poor planning. But, to my delight, when I called to ask about shipping I was greeted so warmly. I felt like I was talking to a friend, we chatted about traveling out of state and needing the essentials to make our Native holiday treats. After our convsation, I placed my order for red chile powder and I'm so excited to get the ingredients and make a fine pot of posole and sopapillas with my friends. Customer for life! Oh, and the shipping...

Ordered some of their steamed corn online to be sent to Texas, and it took quite a while to send not to mention overpriced and when it actually arrived there was a tear in the bag like a rodent may have tore through the bag. I emailed a representative about this issue and of course never heard back. I tried to leave a review on their website and I’m sure that didn’t get through either. Anyway, long story short I’d recommend not buying from Sichler, at least online anyway. I can’t vouch for any in person purchases. Spend your money at a Native flea market, the corn will be bigger from there as well!

Went atm in parking lot north of their store. Drove back to Sichler Farms, in parking lot, to purchase chilli. The landlord drunk ran us down yelling at us that it’s his parking lot hitting my truck with his hands. I won’t ever got here again based upon my safety and children’s safety again.
