George needs to take manager training classes he goes and takes money off my card after intentionally not training me for a month he argued with me about his employees and there lack of customer service he also argued with me and told me that customer service didn’t offer a refund and they did he then intentionally went and stole more money off my card and locked my online account so I’m not able to reset my password a month ago told me it Was a corporate issue
DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT FOR A PERSONAL TRAINER AT THIS LOCATION
Update it’s has been a month since I trained at Xsport after signing a contract for a personal trainer and was treated like Crap was told by Corporate I could have a refund George who has still yet to contact me as the GM said that they were not refunding me it is against the law to sign A contract and then break the contract because you feel like it so my next step is the BBB and to get my daddy involved who is an attorney no way these people conduct this facility this unprofessional Greg NEEDS MANAGEMENT COURSE HE has fabricated since the first day I paid him money for a trainer now he is unavailable but was able to call when he wanted me to sign up for a trainer
Update… none of the managers have yet to contact me they waited 3 weeks and had the trainer who gave me the poorest customer service ever to give me an apology like I would pay him to train me after being treated awful Alan nor George have contacted me just continue to avoid me after lying
I have been with Xsport for about 12 years i transferred my membership to this area when I moved here 6 years ago I have done personal training at this site before This is literally the most unprofessional group of employees that have been employed at this location the managers are unprofessional and have bad customer service so of course the team they lead will show the same level of unprofessionalism George and Alan could careless how the trainers treat the people they train and they disregard any complaints that are filed if they have a friendship with the trainer they took my payment for training and allowed the trainer Greg who told me his time change to not train me because he didn’t want to do research on my health conditions after I initially requested a trainer and George forced him on me because it’s his buddy I can only imagine how many other people they treat like this unfortunately for them I will keep complaining as a customer I don’t deserve poor customer service from people in customer service
So I been coming to this gym for years I train with the trainers before so I thought I’d grab a Black Friday sell first red flag was I asked for a certain trainer they lied to me about why she couldn’t train me I get the trainer he recommends I tell the guy what my issue is and tell him how I need to be helped he hadn’t done it once since I told him my payments are set to come out bi weekly they snatched the payment 3 days early then I find out my trainer won’t be in after making sure he gets his payment with no plans to make sure I get trained I go to log into my account they locked my act where I couldn’t access it to do anything with my act I called when I noticed at 4 AM the rep who answered the phone when I called at 4 AM katlyn tells me I need to talk to the general manager to get my act reset I asked why would I have to do that she laughs and tells me she just works there I asked for corporate info she tells me she doesn’t know she only is there to make sure nobody steals i asked her why couldn’t she answer any questions 4 o’clock is the time she chose to come to work I have been coming to this location for years the staff seems to be more careless and a bit malicious my payments should come out on the day noted per contract and now all of a sudden since I got angry about that now my act is locked and it shouldn’t be I don’t owe them anything why would my account magically need to be reset they are dishonest and aren’t passionate about training they only want there payment if I tell my trainer what my issue is it should...
Read moreThis is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had with a gym. Please, RUNAWAY!!!
To start, I saw the gym online advertising for a $19.95 membership fee. I went to check it out and they lied and said that they are only allowing people to sign up for the $42 a month gym membership. Then the owner, I believe his name is Sam, steps in. He told me about their trainer services. He claimed that the trainers would be available on my schedule. I’ve had a trainer before at Golds Gym, and I love personal training sessions. So we agreed to a payment plan. I then asked the owner/manager about cancellation. He told me “you can quit anytime and that we don’t lock our members into a contract.” So I signed the contract, and that was a big mistake!!!!!!!
The first month, I worked out 4 days a week, and did not hear a single word from my trainer! One person did text me what time I would like to train, and I said 6:00 am. She did not text me back afterwards. The next month I sprained my wrist. I went in to cancel my contract because I had been at the gym 4 days a week and hadn’t seen a single trainer, and then I was injured so using the gym was pointless.
When I tried to cancel Sam said I would need a doctor’s note. I told him that he said I could quit anytime. He then blew up and got really angry trying to call me a liar. (But if you read the reviews you will find that I am not the only one the manager has lied to.) So he would not cancel my membership, and this was back in March 2019. Since I am a single person living in the DC area, I cannot afford to take off work just for a doctor’s note when my wrist was already wrapped in a soft cast. Anyways, I talk to the other guy that filled out the contract, I think his name is Zack. He informs me that there are certain exercises that you can do that will help with my wrist. I tried to continue. I was finally assigned a new trainer. However, this trainer could not meet with me frequently because he was overbooked. Back in February I signed up for 25 personal training sessions. At the end of August I still had 19 left!!!!!!!! I went to the gym 4 days a week, so there is no excuse for why they couldn’t find me a trainer that would meet with me regularly.
This is a shady gym. Do not sign a contract with them!!!!
The gym runs out of equipment all of the time. It’s only kept clean when they are doing specials. Otherwise it’s messy. The women’s bathroom is in disarray. I’ve even seen a large cockroach in the locker rooms. This place is over packed in the afternoon, and it’s nearly impossible to get a consistent trainer in the morning hours.
Go anywhere but here!!! Lifetime, Golds, Planet Fitnesses, LA Fitness, Orange Theory, Crunch! Just do not go here!
Their cancellation policy is ridiculous. If you move you have to send them your utility bill before they can stop charging you. Really? You don’t even get a new utility bill for the first two months in your new place. They are the ones who failed to give proper service. The manager lied to get me to sign the contract. Considering he has lied to multiple people, then there should be a class action lawsuit against this gym.
Update** I did everything the response below me said and absolutely NOTHING has happened. Don’t waste your money folks! I have emailed them 4x and still no response. Class...
Read moreI really give this place zero stars. They don't deserve it. XSport is not about you like they say when they answer the phone, they're about taking your money. I spoke about personal training sessions with the understanding that I would start sessions in December, I was charged that same day after I verified multiple times that charges wouldn't start until December. I just moved here from Austin and even explained that to my consultant that my budget was very tight after signing a new lease. I called the very next day to get that transaction cancelled, was told it would take 5-7 business days. After a week, I hadn't heard anything from anyone and there was no refund on my account so I took it upon myself to call corporate to get a status. They told me that they hadn't even received a refund request and they would contact Alexandria location to check status. I asked the lady who was helping me from corporate how long should I wait until I hear back from her, she told me she would call me the next day. After hanging up, I called the Alexandria location and sure enough, it was never filed. Was told it would be filed that day after the GM signs off on it. I did not receive a call from corporate the next day like they promised. I had to call them again the day after to get a status. Was told they hadn't received anything from the GM at Alexandria and they would call that day for another status check. At this point I noticed a member ship charge on my account (this is a second charge now with no resolution to my first problem). I again called the Alexandria location and was told that GM had not signed off (they didn't even give me a reason why it hadn't been done) but that they would leave a message for the GM to do that day. I asked for them to cancel my entire membership and asked for a refund on that as well because they're customer service was terrible and I was very disappointed. Was told they would include this as well. I let a few days pass, fast forward to 2 weeks after signing up, still nothing has been done and no one has called to follow up with me. I sent an email to my consultant asking for a status and expressing my dissatisfaction with their service and failure to communicate, he responded with these simple words, "Refund is being submitted today." (That's it, no apology) I can not believe it took 2 weeks for this to be submitted. The next day, I see another charge from Xsport on my bank statement for $49, what for?! I thought I cancelled this membership. This is the third time they charge my account!!! I just moved here!! I can not afford these unexpected charges. Xsport has taken a total of $430.95 in 2 weeks!! And I have yet to see one penny refunded into my account. Do not waste your time with these careless people, they're just money hungry and don't want to apologize for...
