Alhambra Civic Center Library — Attraction in Alhambra

I dropped my books inside the library's slot. A few days later, I received a text saying I didn't return my books and got some fine for it. I called the circulation desk immediately and told them to check the surveillance cameras I physically went inside to return the books. The dude said his big boss was not available to talk. I had to call back a few hours later, and the dude said they found the books. He didn't even bother to return my phone call. It happened again today, and I have to wait a few hours to call them back. This is so ridiculous! Another problem is to check the status of my account. I emailed the circulation desk to let their IT staff know about the computer glitch regarding renewing items, and they just told me my PIN is incorrect. The technical errors included web certificates and a 400 Bad Request on their website. I never had both issues with the LA County Public Library. Alhambra Library received a lot of donations from private donors, and I have high expectations of...

First of all there were THREE WHOLE RATS roaming around the place like crazy. I told the front desk members and they said it was normal!!!! The lady at the front was really rude when I told her about the rats. I asked the librarian for a book, and they shouted and spit in my face . Then one of the rats started biting my pant leg and I jumped out of my chair and fell on the floor and the front desk lady laughed at me.I went to the bathroom but the toilet wasn't flushed and there was no toilet paper! I also FELL in there because the floor was wet. All the floors were crusty and the bathroom had a tampon with period blood on the floor and when i came out i saw the front desk lady smoking, and texting someone instead of working. When I complained to her about not working, she brought one of her coworkers and they watched tik tok together. THEN I saw some high schooler painting offensive words on the floor and no one cared.

I've been to heavy metal concerts quieter than this place. I mean, there is a fantastic and vast selection of great books, but if you think you will be able to read in peace and quiet, think again. The staff and parents here don't realize that this is a library, not a zoo. Kids run rampant at this library, and that's an understatement. Yea yea, I know there's a children's area, but if you are on the second floor and can still clearly hear the chaos that is ensuing below (with headphones on!), then we got a problem. Discipline and order are seriously lacking here, with staff and parents. Anyway, happy reading...
