Genuinely so tired of dealing with this place. I used to love Gallery Nucleus and even made a trip some years ago to go there while in Cali but they have dropped the ball on so many events and preorders. I've been trying to contact them for a whole week because a friend of mine wanted to get the skin and bones book but they don’t live in the country. Neither of us got replies from their contact page, nothing on social media until last night. they closed preorders HOURS early and said NOTHING until they started getting comments and messages about it. Like are you kidding me? That’s so unprofessional and they don’t care at all. They just shrugged their shoulders and said oh well, we’ll reprint the book later. Yea but what about EVERY THING ELSE? Half the point of the preorder was for the extras and they don’t even know when the reprint will happen but likely none of them will be signed copies. Read moreI love the gallery very, very much. It's calming and wonderful and people who take an interest congregate there and make connections, and it's just wonderful. My best experience here was during the Critical Role gallery show; it was a night I'll never forget. The art community that shows up really make it worth it.
Today specifically I wanted to quickly pop by and try getting my friend a birthday gift; I showed up during the lunch break, and came back when it was supposed to be over @12. Sadly, nobody was there. I waited about 10 minutes before deciding to leave. This isn't that big of a deal, but the lack of punctuality was disapointing. This doesn't break my relationship with the nucleus AT ALL, I'm going to keep going, but if you ever find yourself wanting a gift for an art enthusiast fast, definitely consider planning to do things in advance when there's...
