My mom lost a diamond in her wedding ring. For Christmas my dad, brother, and I wanted to surprise her and get the diamond replaced and the other diamonds re pronged so it didn't happen again. I went to Brennan Jewelry on 12-17-18 after work. I have never had to get anything like this done before so I had been to a few jewelry stores previously in the last month to get an idea of a price. I had been to this place previously and they did a good job and were reasonably priced when I got my necklace fixed and was trying support a local business. When I walked in I explained to the guy working what I wanted and if he could price it out for me. After looking at it for a few minutes he came back with an envelope for me to put my name and number on for someone to call me with a quote. The few previous jewelry stores I had been to quoted it on the spot and showed me what the diamond would actually look like in the ring. When I asked if they wanted me to leave the ring there he said yes to get the right quote. I then said I didn't wanna leave it there because I didn't feel comfortable leaving it. He then yanked the envelope off the counter. As I waited there to see what exactly the big deal was he looked at me and said well then you just take it somewhere else then. The couple that was in there couldn't believe he even acted like that like to a customer and the female even said wow in disbelief. I found it very rude and a terrible way to treat a customer. Everyone can make there own judgement but just sharing...
Read moreI took my grandfather's 1903 Hamilton Railroad watch there to be repaired after three tries at another Downriver watch repair facility. They were very courteous, polite and told me right there what the problem was and said they could repair it. When they called to let me know that the watch was ready and I went to pick it up, I was very pleased and amazed. Not only did they repair it, it looked like brand new. Since I have back in it's display dome, it has kept perfect time. I was so pleased that I took a second pocket watch to them for repair. I went in today (01-02-2021) when they called and said that it was ready. Once again, they did an exceptional job with repairs. Not only that, they polished the complete watch and it looks great. My thanks to Craig and company for the exceptional service that they provide. I will now take all of my time pieces to them when needed. Thank again to Brennan Jewelry. Gary C....
Read moreWorst place ever. I reported them to the BBB years ago. They scammed my grandpa over a watch repair AND they lost a ruby from my best friend's ring that JUST passed away!!
Her mom gave me a ring of my friend's. I took it there to be resized to wear for the funeral services. They lost a ruby - then blamed me & said it must have been like that when I dropped it off - NO. It wasn't. It was PERFECT. And NOTHING was noted anywhere in their paperwork. They said, well it's not in the cleaning basket, so it wasn't there. Like they couldnt of dropped it on the floor or flat out stole it.
HORRIBLE PLACE.
When I reported them to the BBB, their solution was to repair my ring for a fee. Duh - ANYONE can repair it for a "fee"
I've been on a mission to tell everyone about this since. Go to Trenton Jewelry, Brother's, Mirage, even JC Penney....
