CHECK YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD FOR UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS. We love shopping at this store for Asian snacks and food. We usually use cash to purchase items, but last year at around August we used our debit card and a few days after that our card started getting weird transactions that we only discovered 3 months later since we weren't on top of that, unfortunately. It started at $2.16 and slowly went up and will charge the card every few days. We reported it to the bank and got it all fixed an d refunded around January. This store was the only store where we used our card that could have compromised our card and it started days after using it there (we only use our card for Kroger, Sam's club, Amazon, don't use it on gas stations etc). We let go of it since it got fixed and we just never used our card again here and we weren't 100% sure it's because of this store. Never had this problem again. Fast forward to recently, we didn't have enough cash and used our credit card to buy items and lo and behold, 2 days later we started getting these weird transactions again. Started at $6 then started going up again, fortunately, we noticed sooner since I check our transactions now at least once a week. Have not used our card anywhere else. I do not know if the business is behind this or an employee is doing this, I do not know....
Read moreThis is a newer Filipino store, and my first time in here. Vince, the owners son, was very polite and helpful for the things I was looking for. And said they would look into ordering what they didn't have for me.
While they don't have a huge assortment of different brands of the same type of items, they have a number of things that are difficult to come by without driving all the way to the north or far west suburbs of Detroit. It is, after all, the ONLY Filipino store downriver!!
And, the prices are very reasonable.
Save yourself the gas money and buy local!!
They have fresh veggies, including malungay!! I haven't seen that anywhere, even in huge Asian stores.
Try them out. And all them to order something you're interested in. Once they know there's a market for certain items, I'm sure they'll get it for you.
And I'm sure they'll be buying more products as business continues to grow!
Good luck REA ASIAN...
Read moreVery clean and organized Filipino/Asian store. The store had our favorites like frozen bangus, Selecta ice cream (ube macapuno, queso, coconut), frozen saba bananas, corned beef, pandesal, pan de Coco, noodles (pancit Canton!), and some Halo Halo ingredients. I also found an ube condensed milk here which was a plus! This store also has some veggies like onions and tomatoes. Not sure how long they'll be doing this promotion, but if you spend $50 or more you get a free snack :-) the young man who rang our stuff was extremely pleasant, friendly, and professional which made my family feel so welcomed. We will definitely come back. Welcome to Allen Park...
