Sacred Heart Church Rectory — Attraction in Allentown

I needed a copy my baptism certificate. I was baptized at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and confirmed at St. Ann’s. Our Lady has closed, so the ‘Books’ are kept at Sacred Heart.

I called Sacred Heart on a Friday. On Tuesday, I received a call that my information was located and the certificate was ready to be picked up.

The person who helped me through the whole process was one of the most gracious people I have ever met. She contacted St. Ann’s and had everything dated and sealed and stamped and ready to roll :)

This is the first parish I’ve gone to since moving to center city allentown 2.5 years ago. I’ve tried many other parishes, but this is the only one where the members are engaged, and involved in their community.

I do think the diocese does need to get some new hymnals, and liturgical books for the parish, because they are falling apart, and most of the other parishes have newer materials and sacred heart...

My home, would welcome anyone here. Very active community, young adult group just starting and all are great people thanks be to be God. The pastor has also been present for most of the meetings....
