I had a wonderful experience when I visited Alondra Skatepark. This park was located in Lawndel, Ca. I arrived at the park in the evening. I didn't have problems finding the parking space. I found out that this park closed at night and they closed the gate. I liked to come to this park because I could bring my dog to the park. I had been to other parks, but most of the park didn't allow the dog. Also, I enjoyed coming here at night because they had a beautiful lake, which was a magnificent night view. I liked to take the pictures at night. I took photos and videos of the various ducks that lived in the lake. My dog was curious about ducks, so he started to chase them. It was funny that so many ducks came out from the water and walked around the sidewalk. And ducks didn't seem to be scared of people. The park had picnic tables, and if you come here daytime, you could have a BBQ with your friends or family. My dog and I had a long walk around the park. My dog seemed to enjoy the walk around the lake. We watched the ducks walking around the sidewalk and making loud noises. I would like to recommend Alondra Skatepark to everyone. They have a park which has a beautiful lake and you can relax and watch birds, ducks & natures. Also, if you would like to take wildlife photos, this park would be the best place for you.

As of April 2024, the skate park is cleaned regularly, the drains work again, and the lights are on until, at least, 2am. The lights over the larger bowl aren't working so it's a sketchy ride. The parking lot gate is closed at Sundown, you will get locked in. Park outside.

The Skatepark has been flooded for more than a week now. Surely this is a health issue now as it will attract mosquitos. A young child could also fall in and drown. It only rained for a few days a couple of weeks ago, it shouldn't still be flooded like this.

A pandemic of ignorance. you can smell the adolescent, arrogance in the air, a noxious sweat This malevolent arena, with is local little dog group of (gang wannabe) boys. Harassing other boys and girls with their 5 against one, mentality. Their parents must be so proud. They harass homeless people, grade school children, small animals. Relentless, little dogs The good side are Mothers with their babies, families gathered for ...family stuff. nice pool. Beautiful large trees. Birthday Parties. Normal happenings. and they carry on doing nothing about it. Not my kid / not bothering me, mentality. No worries... The skaters aren't interested in family units, they're interested in claiming territory, (Which most likely belongs to a grown-up gang). No matter Not being old enough to join the big dogs. These ankle-biters run in packs. They generally single out some lone person to harass. Hey, no worries, they’re not your children, they’re not bothering you. BEST PART OF THIS PLACE: Police are there regularly, throughout the day, this helps maintain control. Kudos to the Police. I thank you, My family thanks you. WORST PART OF THIS WILY PLACE: YOUR CHILD COULD BECOME...

It would be way better if the person who is supposed to open the skateboard park at noon would be there to open it by noon. How the parking lot gate gets opened up early everyday and the skateboard park never opens on time is beyond me. Who decided on noon open time during Summer is also suspect. REALLY???? IT OPENS AT NOON. LAME!!!!!! Here are a couple of suggestions to all thinking of building a skateboard park.

Don't put up fences The only walls at a skateboard park should be skate-able ie.(channel st. in San Pedro, CA). If you are going to put up fences and a gate and NOT have someone to open it, you should give all the skaters a key. If you are not going to give all the skaters a key, you should hire someone responsible enough to open the park on time. Skateboard parks don't need landscaping. Instead of designing landscaping into the park, make more obstacles and skate-able terrain.

I Finally get a day off to skate and the park isn't even open. Channel st is just down the freeway, 405south to 110south. Made for skaters by skaters, no keys required. NO BLADES, NO SCOOTERS, NO...
