Been going to Fantastic on Artesia here in Torrance since it was Burger City Grill and I have given them the benefit of the doubt so many times and sadly after last night will no longer be going there. The orders have been repeatedly messed up, missing items paid for, or just in general such a rude staff. I was just trying to get yet another order corrected for somebody else. Sad too because I love the food and there’s a couple nice ppl there but most of the staff are irreverent, laugh at guests, talk crap literally in front of them to each other, treat you like you’re a burden, unprofessional, no hospitality, stewards of everything but friendliness and seek to make an effort to be difficult and rude over and over. Everyone makes mistakes but that’s the not the issue here, they will do this and then act like you’re causing problems when they messed up. They make snarky comments, looks, insults and sometimes even act like you’re not even there as a human being. They made some very personal remarks I did not appreciate and even told me as a customer I don’t matter. I have understanding what the world is and I seek grace and compassion through my faith in all situations and still act with kindness no matter what but I will not stand for deliberately being disrespected and degraded. I do not “complain” or even open my mouth unless there’s a significant reason. They should appreciate their customers and carry themselves with some dignity and respect and be thankful they even have a business or a job, without customers they wouldn’t be in business. I wonder if the owner even knows how this is ran as a “family” business. If they operated like the beautiful history on the wall and their story then none of this would happen and I’m finally writing about it because it’s not me that’s the problem or looking for things to complain about, I have major health issues and bigger things to be concerned about but there’s always something wrong there and then having them act the way they do on top of it is stressful and irritating and unnecessary and simply not right. But what is right anymore? Seems to be the same deteriating principles, values, integrity, morals, etc., that go along with things these days. Sad they can’t just be kind and courteous and do their job with pride and as they would unto their own family or themselves because I’m sure they wouldn’t like to be treat the way they are...
Read moreUpdate. 11/13/24, So my mom decided to order from this spot for herself and my kids. One of my sons ordered a unsweetened Iced tea. Within a few hours, he started to get hives, bad. He is allergic to berries, but hadn't eaten any. We called the restaurant and asked about ingredients in their unsweetened ice tea, found out they have 2 different types of unsweetened Iced tea (which they don't say on the menu) 1 is a regular black iced tea, the other is flavored with Raspberry.. which obviously is what they sent us. Not ok. Fortunately, my sons reaction to berries is really bad full body welts and doesn't include anaphylaxis, but others may run into this situation, so I came on to warn others. Anyone that does happen to see this, be careful!
Really really disappointed. After a very long work day, I stopped by the drive thru, and when I got home with the order for myself and 3 others, they shorted us a BLTA,which isn't inexpensive here! Of course after a long day, cold outside, and looking forward to the sandwich, I get to go hungry for the night. Definitely make sure you have EVERYTHING you ordered and paid for before you walk or drive away. Honestly, I wish it was still BCG, because we never had this issue until the company switched hands¹. Very doubtful we'll go there again. It's the person at the drive thru that should make sure everything that was ordered is infact ALL there before handing a person their order, but they aren't, so looks like it's just downhill from this point. It was my first time there today on Thursday 19th 2024 .. and won't be my last ..my husband though it would be a great place to go to after my Dr. Appt to have a quiet yet nice lunch was he not kidding..it was just like he said and then some ..i was very very much impressed with service food and atmosphere. so to all of you reading reviews believe this you will never be disappointed on anything you ordered give it a chance l will guarantee you will be back . Now the only thing I would look into is and this is towards the franchise owners.. ( and this is just my opinion) it's your logo it reminded me of fantastic sam's hair salon ..maybe if you took the first "T" in fantastic and enlarge it placing the letter "I"infront of the enlarged T and an "s" after the T ..so it would read ....ITS FanTastic
might help in one's perception.. but like I said it's just my opinion it's fine the way it is and your fast service with all fresh ingredients and meats are by far the best l have had in my 61 years eating out keep it up you have a customer life P.S. my husband just informed me that your sign logo is in two parts one sign saying Eats...the other sign saids Fantastic .. so now I must say why not say Eat Fantastically...lol jk ..thank you for a wonderful day at your establishment many years of...
