I have always wanted to try an escape room. My wife and I (in our minds) are fairly intelligent. For our 10 year wedding anniversary, travel choices were limited due to the covid19 pandemic, so we decided to test our skills. I booked our experience online. Our first choice of adventures was sold out...my bad for waiting until the last minute. We went with the Prison break scenario. We arrived a few minutes before our appointed time, and was greeted immediately by the friendly staff. We were taken to a comfortable room for prep/instructions, and our adventure began! The set up was legit, I wasn't expecting the detail involved in the escape games. We had 1 hour to escape. The room is designed for up to 8 people, so we were fighting the odds from the start, since it was just my wife and I. But hey, 10 years together should build communication skills right?! We worked together trying to piece together all the clues, and did not notice how quickly an hour can go by. As much fun as we were having, the panic did start to creep in when we noticed we were down to the last 5 minutes, 4 minutes, 3 minutes,....2 minute warning.....we're not gonna make it,, are we?....Then, with just over a minute left, we solve the final puzzle, and SUCCESS!!! WE ARE FREE!!! We had a fantastic time at Odyssey! My wife is now hooked, and wants to come back tomorrow...lol. I highly recommend this experience for teaching people to work together, building communication skills, and also just having a load of fun! Thank you, Odyssey! You have helped make some great memories for our anniversary trip! - Luke and Leigh

Called and asked if odyssey escape game was accessible for my wife and her wheelchair and we were told yes. When we got there, there is no ramp outside just cement stairs, the room is NOT accessible and doesn’t fit my wife’s chair, and the staff told us to access the rest of the room, we have to go outside and around to a different door off the lobby. Nothing says fun and immersion like walking in the exit of an escape room to try to get back out the same door again. Oh and they said they cannot refund us. On top of that, The first half of the room we managed to play was disappointing. They explained the main puzzle before we even started, making the “discovery” pointless, and kept giving unsolicited hints on a big monitor despite NO ONE ASKING, and then after all that, is when we unlocked a small passage we couldn’t fit through and then they told us we’d have to exit the room through the door we came in because my wife’s wheelchair wouldn’t fit. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. They do NOT understand what accessible means.

This is the third escape room I’ve tried and I’m definitely the most impressed with the set up of this one, Jack the Ripper. The clues are very hands on and well designed, with audio clues, magnetic object placements, and a plethora of text based puzzles. My only critique is the abundance of obvious clues provided by the Game Master, not hints, and not asked for. Albeit much appreciated and not game-spoiling most of the time, the final word we needed to solve the escape room was practically given to us (we were told to read aloud a given word, thus ending the game). Besides that, it was a great time and something I’d recommend to anyone to do at least once.

One of the best entertainment attractions in the Greater Atlanta Region:

Myself and my girlfriend had a fantastic time at Odyssey Escape Games in Alpharetta. The staff were extremely kind and courteous and an inviting atmosphere. We spent half of our day there playing through all 4 of the currently offered rooms (we are junkies for escape rooms). The games offered here are great for both new players and veteran enthusiasts and a wide variety of games for play styles making it great to always come back for more (see breakdown of current games for suggestions of players).

Odyssey puts itself in our top 5 escape room companies in the country out of our now 75+ Escape Rooms played. The rooms were of a quality on par (and better in some cases) with the best in Orlando.

Current Rooms: Titanic: The scenario starts that you are indeed on the Titanic as it hits the iceberg and now you have to get to the safety boat and drop it into the water. When they say Titanic, they really mean it, the whole room is decorated in historical looking items and massive paintings that really make you think you are on the ship. I would suggest this room for all ages and player experience.

Great for people who haven't ever played an escape room. This room currently does contain a small somewhat strobing/flickering light in the last room so if that is a concern just let them know (i already talked with the owner about it and they are going to try to change it but it may not be changed by the time you read this review).

Towering Inferno: Yes you read that correctly, this is just like the 1970's movie where you are stuck on a tower that is burning and will crumble if you don't get off the roof in time. (our personal favorite of the four). This escape room has elements that i have never experienced before in a room and a finale that has such a great completion. Just to note there are some dry ice effects in the latter part of the game (and may be able to be disabled upon request).

This game would be great for new players and I think there are elements that younger players will appreciate/enjoy a lot.

Prison Break: You have been convicted of a crime you didn't commit. Now you have to get out of your cell, disable the security system, and get the information to prove you didn't do it.

This room is a great game for anyone who hasn't ever played an escape room before.

Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper has struck another victim, find the clues and figure out who Jack the Ripper really is or be his next victim. This room is quite unique in that it rarely depends on locks (only 3 in the games) for gaining access to what you need. The room really does put you back in time to the 1800's and gives you a true feeling of being a detective in a time before modern equipment.

I would consider this to be a room for mostly experienced escape room players or people who really enjoy a mystery novel or reading.

I really appreciate that in the rooms you feel you accomplish something at each point in the games as they give you mini objectives to progress instead of making everything about the individual locks. Overall, there is no other escape room in the greater Atlanta Region that gives such an immersive and enjoyable experience as Odyssey Escape Game. As soon as a new room opens we will be traveling again from...

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an escape room that truly set the bar for excellence. From the moment we entered, it was clear that this wasn't just any ordinary room; it was a fully immersive adventure that drew us into its world right from the start.

The design of the room was outstanding, with every detail meticulously crafted to fit the theme. The props, lighting, and atmosphere made us feel like we were part of a movie. Every corner had a purpose, and nothing felt out of place. It was clear the creators had invested a lot of time and thought into making the environment believable and exciting.

The puzzles themselves were both challenging and creative, striking the perfect balance between fun and difficulty. Each one was unique, requiring teamwork, communication, and out-of-the-box thinking. What I loved most was how seamlessly the puzzles integrated with the story; they weren't just arbitrary tasks but felt like natural obstacles we needed to overcome to move forward. The progression was smooth, with just the right amount of hints provided at key moments when we were truly stuck. The game master did an incredible job, offering subtle nudges without making it too easy.

Overall, this escape room was a flawless experience. It had the perfect mix of immersive storytelling, cleverly designed puzzles, and a beautifully crafted environment. Whether you're a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a first-timer, their room offers a fantastic challenge that's rewarding, exciting, and absolutely worth every minute. I can't...
