I have always loved going to the Jaffa. I knew if I was going to the Jaffa something really cool and exciting was going down. My favorite was wrestling, the circus was always a decent time. I usually walk out of the Shrine with a smile on my face and grateful to have spent some quality time with the family and or friends. Not much action comes to Altoona but when it does it's gonna be hosted by a bunch of guys that call themselves the Shriners and are responsible for alot of good things that happen in our community. I know because I have been a recipient of there generosity as a youngster around the holidays. So I may be a little bias and favorable towards the Jaffa Shrine. I'm hoping some of them read this review and can help plug me into a job next week at the Job Fair there hosting. 80 hiring employers with that many company's hiring and interviewing on spot I should be able to find something. If not hopefully I can catch the circus before they leave town there always looking for a good...
Read moreFirst time taking my 3 year old grandson to the circus. We had a good time but i was very disappointed the elephants weren't at this year's circus. That however is not the reason I've rated 3 stars. I was also extremely disappointed that the last act, which was the tightrope walkers, was set up directly along the side so hundreds of people directly in line with the tightrope couldn't even see what was happening. I took my kids for many years and they always had a lot of cool toys to buy. This year all they had was inflatable plastic aliens, animals and guitars, and light up alien masks and tiaras. What the heck do aliens have to do with the circus?? Overall disappointed... the circus just isn't what...

My biggest complaint is that we were moved from our seats twice. We bought our tickets on line and chose three seats including an outside end seat because I have mobility issues. Just before the show started 7 people came over with a Jaffa member claiming the row of seats were theirs. They had also purchased their tickets online. We were moved up three rows to the front. I asked the Jaffa member if they were the reserved seats for circus staff and he said no and for us to sit. Five minutes later a circus staff member came over and told us we had to move once again and moved to yet another row of seats. Nothing like behaving mobility issues and...
