pOpshelf — Attraction in Alvin

I checked this place out yesterday with my daughter for a time thought it was close since parking was empty we liked a few things there , had other errands and decided to go in today again but with my sister & mom along sadly the customer service we received from one of the employees there was sad & disappointing!! After I pointed out once I self check out about 4 Vaseline’s lips that had $1.25 each or 4/$5 and my receipt charged me $1.50 instead of her understanding she point out that somehow a staff “mistakenly” placed it in wrong area. Couldn’t price it at $1.25 since she”discover” underneath a $5.00 tag the $1.50 ultra hydration Vaseline. Which by the way was full of a different merchandise which wasn’t even suppose to be there in the first place .Basically you look at tags and if you don’t realize they will charge you for a whole different item. By her making a statement that if I purchase the product on the $5.00 tag I will be charged that even if it’s not the product within the right price . If you shop here try to take pictures of the item because she switch tags out making statement that even though it was place there not one but several of the same item the price is not what the tag says it is & will be overcharged. Will be taking my business somewhere else for false advertising! Second and last time I ever visit...

So in general, I love the store, it’s very clean, organized, and very great items of what it has to offer. However, in my personal experience, I’ve only been here twice, a few days ago, and last December, both experiences I was very uncomfortable. I first want to mention that the staff is very nice and helpful. However, for me their “approach” was too friendly always on my shoulder following me around & only staring at me, one of them said they recognized me from last time and tried getting my phone number. I didn’t feel comfortable continuing shopping in the store. I’m personally very shy & just wanted my own space to be left alone as I answered, their question they asked “Are you finding everything okay? Do you need help looking for anything? etc.” to “I’m good thank you.” I know this is a friendly approach, but was too close for me that I wasn’t interested in just wanting my space to shop. I love pop shelf, but will have to visit a different...

It is an interesting store. It's kind of a high-end dollar general store. Clean, neat, and bright layout to the store. The prices are reasonable.

The products appeared to be of a better quality overall. If you are looking for seasonal items, beauty products, living room decor, party supplies, candles, craft materials, kitchenware, and more, you will find it inside their stores.

It appears to be of the self-check out model (which is why I did not give it 5 stars), but they did have friendly staff walking around to see if they could assist you. Their POS system was simple to use, and they offered paper bags instead of plastic, which is nice.

They did offer everyone a $10 off coupon if you spent more than $30, which we did...
