Came out here with family. In the beginning we were all having fun but during the middle of it an actor was accidentally pushed. The incident happened in the maze where one of the female actors screams to you you have 30 seconds to escape. That led to this individual in our group to rush through the dark maze. Apparently there was an actor coming out to scare and she walked in front of this individual as he was trying to get out of the maze. That led to the manager pulling our group to the side and asking if the push was intentional or accidental. Of course it was accidental. Your female actor screaming you have 30 seconds to escape the maze welcomes people to run through this dark maze. And then having other actors come out in front of you while in this dark maze is just a recipe for disaster. Also during the midst of all this the glow stick the individual had broke and we were all unaware of it. Management tried to blame him for causing harm to others with the liquid that was oozing out. The liquid was over his hands, his pant pocket but causing harm to others was not the intentions, rather the glow stick just broke while he had it in his hand. Anyways after all this the management seemed to scapegoat our group and as a result we saw no more actors for the remaining of the haunted houses. Never...
Read moreThe houses were nice, but the actors were far too touchy. Like others have said they are even inappropriately touchy at times. A male held onto my wife's waist and ribcage for the last portion of the 1st attraction moving his hands up and down for a very prolonged period of time. When we told staff afterwards, they stated they "try to tell" them to keep it shoulders and above. Don't TRY, TELL THEM! We were told by two staff members that they will not touch, unless you touch first. This was false. We won't be coming back. Also the touching does not make it scarier, it makes it awkward, I've been to plenty of amazing attractions that enforce a STRICT no touch policy for actors and guests. There is also no accountability for hygiene, or evidence of background checks for actors to ensure the public that these people who are touching you are clean and safe. Also communication between staff members seems to be lacking, with us asking questions and getting conflicting answers. There is no place to rest between attractions.
Edit: the last two rooms were boring, good music, and fun coffin ride, but Ultimately...
Read moreMy son is the one who went to this venue. He went on Halloween night, and was dressed in his costume. He said his experience was mostly enjoyable. He liked the attractions and even experienced a few decent scares.
He did mention that he preferred Lubbock's Nightmare on 19th street to this place, however, because the actors at that haunted house had strict rules not to touch the visitors. Parts of his costume were borrowed from friends and family, and some of them were damaged when the actors at the Scaregrounds took his hat. Of course they've got a ton of warnings about zero liability. Would be nice if they didn't use that as an excuse to seek to damage their customers' belongings. They should at least be more careful when they do choose to be hands on with their...
