Texas Route 66 Visitor Center — Attraction in Amarillo

It am a writer and a book signing brought me to Amarillo, even though I have spent my life around and inside this town. We wanted to see some of the local art that this stop carries. It just so happens that it was our 39th wedding anniversary and we were enjoying a few stops before supper, and a play. Such a great store and so beautifully stocked and the manager so personable. Just a great place for travel information and grand choice for souvenirs. Absolutely delightful little shop with all kinds of unique RT 66 souvenirs to buy. The gentleman at the front desk (I think he was the owner?) was very friendly and knowledgeable and he stamped our passport books and gave us a free pressed penny and free pins. My daughter is a huge 66 fan and she loved this place. I bought a really beautiful blanket and a unique metal 66 night light here that I really cherish and RT 66 earrings! We've been all around 66 and have never seen such unique keepsakes. In addition, they have a really beautiful Amarillo 66 wall mural outside that is perfect for photo ops. Highly recommend...
