Let me preface this by saying I used to really like The Nat, but that has changed over the past few years. The history behind the building is cool, but the experience we had the past few times left something to be desired.
The variety is good, but prices are not competitive with other local antique stores. A lot of things are overpriced compared to a quick Google search of items. Second, the building was incredibly hot when we visited in June- to the point of discomfort. I understand the building is older, but it made us rush through so we could get back outside where it was actually cooler! Finally, there are no public restrooms anymore, which is completely fine. What is not fine was the response my elderly mother received when she inquired about it via The Nat’s Facebook page. It was an observation and suggestion with a cruel response. There were in fact some other customers who commented and left during our visit due to this fact, a few of them elderly, and yes, I assume many had “bladder issues.”
I would suggest going to a more empathetic and professional place, such...
Read moreThe Nat antique gets one star for allowing people like Gary Daggett/ vendor 551 to own a booth at the store. I purchased 2 evolving skies booster boxes for $500. After I purchased them and went to my car I noticed that they were resealed and repackaged so I immediately tried getting a refund and they said all sales are final and they couldn’t do anything about it. I asked them if they could give him my contact information that way I could try to get a refund through the seller. After speaking to him he still refused to give me a refund after he admitted to resealing and repackaging the boxes and making them pass as booster box and said it was my fault for not asking if they were resealed. Talk about a perfect example of a scammer, if the Nat antique is going to enforce a no refund policy at least make sure that the quality of vendor’s products are legit. Just looking out for future buyers that way they don’t get scammed and spend their hard earned money like I did, Gary Daggett brings a bad name to the hobby and should...
Read moreLove going here and finding something "I don't want, I NEED" + always a fun selection of a bit of everything. So many booths to choose from and it seems like there's always one that's got some sort of sale going on, love getting my gifts here. Kallie and her people are so amazing and always helpful. My only complaint isn't against the people, it's against whoever owns the building. I get that it's old and on the historical registry, but it gets so dang hot in the summer and so cold in the winter. Luckily as a customer I can leave if it gets unbearable, but kallie and her people? They have to put up with that which is just ridiculous! Plus it hurts their business because people don't want to shop in those conditions. Kallie and her people deserve better and if the owner of the building isn't careful, that whole thing is gonna fall apart, no repairs that I've noticed in the last several years ... But if it's a nice day or morning, I highly recommend you go and check it out, and find...
