24 Hour Fitness — Attraction in Anaheim

UPDATE: 9/20/2025 Friday morning I spoke with the General manager, Joseph. I explained to him that there was a safety and cleanliness issue in the Group X Room. His response was hostile telling me, "It's going to get worse" I had asked if he could put a large microfiber mop in the room so that class participants could use it to sweep up the dust from the workers scraping the decals off walls, hairballs that blow into your face during class and debris that creates hazards while in class. Photo attached is from Friday morning when I spoke with him. (A pink pill, a hair band, paper towels, and a lot of paint debris scraped from walls are shown in the photo) This was taken first thing in the morning on the day I spoke with him before the 9:00 class began. He did nothing. In fact he just stood at the front desk staring at people and talking to his friends. I had also sent a letter to Corporate the night before. Joseph had tried to blame the Company for not allowing him to do anything. I explained that the Carlsbad 24 fitness has a microfiber mop in their Group X room. He then tried to blame the Regional Manager. I said, "How can a Regional Manager not care about a cleaning and safety issue?" I asked for the name of the Regional Manager for the Anaheim Hills location and he refused to give me that information.

UPDATE 7/24/2025: This gym will be closed for repairs. The Manager has told me today that they have no idea when it is happening. One of the staff members last week told me September. Keep this in mind if you are considering buying a membership.

Walking into the gym this is the first impression. This woman sitting down, usually with a black hoodie as well as the baseball cap. She just stares at you. She acts like she is doing something when the manager is in the club; otherwise she does absolutely nothing except stare at people. No greeting. No smile. Just a...

I am compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience with the customer service team, particularly with a representative named Ethan. From the outset, Ethan’s demeanor was far from professional he was consistently rude and dismissive during our interaction. It was evident that he was more interested in exerting control than providing genuine assistance. His behavior came across as a clear power trip, where he seemed to think he could boss me around instead of addressing my concerns respectfully.

At one point, Ethan incorrectly claimed that the account I was inquiring about was not mine, despite me providing all necessary verification and information proving otherwise. To make matters worse, he arrogantly told me, “I can end your membership right here,” as if he held absolute authority without accountability. This statement was not only unwarranted but also highly unprofessional, given that I was dealing with my own account.

The entire interaction left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. Customer service is supposed to be about helping and supporting customers, but Ethan’s conduct was the exact opposite. His inability to listen, coupled with his rude attitude, made what should have been a straightforward process unnecessarily difficult and unpleasant.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company’s customer service. I hope management takes note and addresses the attitude and training of their representatives, especially those like Ethan who seem to misuse their position. I will certainly think twice before continuing with a service that allows...

My favorite 24hr location! I've been to countless 24 hour gyms, and most of them are too small, disorganized, and dirty. Here, the staff is friendly, it's really big, and has a decent free weight section. It can get pretty busy around 5-7pm and the showering areas DON'T have any curtains! The lack of shower curtains is enough to prevent this facility from earning a 5/5.

I live 15 miles away and choose not to go to the 24hr that's down the street from my house (chino hills) and come here instead.

Edit 12/19/2015 They have added more racks, barbells, and bumper plates! Undoubtedly the best Sport 24hr Fitness that I've been to in terms of utility.

Edit: 1/29/2023 Bumping down the review from 4 stars to 3 since this facility is no longer open 24 hours!!

As for the gym, it's more or less unchanged from my last edit in 2015. They've moved around some of the power racks but I'd love to see more of a renovation in 2023. The power racks are 24's old design with the spongy floor that gets deformed, making it difficult to deadlift from an even surface.
