Customer service, drive up, timely orders have all been absolutely garbage here. I gave them 3 tries and they blew each and every chance with me.
1st instance - waited 45 minutes in the drive up for my order, no apology or sympathy from the employee for the delay. Time is valuable to me.
2nd instance - went to pick up my order that was “ready” and was told my item “disappeared” and was told to cancel my order when I arrived. At least I received an apology this time, but no further assistance in reordering my item/shipping it/finding it at another store. Time and gas are valuable to me.
3rd instance - placed a drive up order so I could grab the 2 items on my lunch break, orders are generally ready within 2 hours and I placed the order 3 hours in advance, the items was still processing by lunch time, so I cancelled the order. A two hour window during non peak hours for two very basic essential items seemed achievable but apparently not.

As someone who worked in retail management for 12+ years I can say in all honesty that the management in this store is doing something great. Every single employee I come in contact with is incredibly helpful and beyond friendly. It doesn't matter if I am there at 8am or 9pm. The staff always seems to be in a good mood. They are genuinely interested in the customer experience and eager to help you find what you need or grab you a cart when your hands are full. I am greeted upon entry and wished a great day every time I leave. It feels a little like the twilight zone to see an entire store of content happy retail workers - even during the busy holiday rush. Whatever they are putting in the water or pumping through the air vents there please keep it up! And please make sure this trickles down to the Anaheim Hills store and their incredible staff. That team deserves...
Read moreWhile Target has a large over all selection of items for your home and living needs they have a very small consideration for their shoppers time. Yes, come for what you need but be prepared to WAIT and WAIT for the ability to check out. The wait can be in the self-serve area which often has a long line, or it can be at the check out stand where an employee checks you out. Seems Target wants all of us to be temporary part-time employees every time we shop with them. Today only 1 check stand manned by an employee... A mother with a baby in her arms and another small child could not check herself out and had to wait. I an elderly but healthy senior could not check out due to the heavy items in my basket. The line for self-check was short only 2 waiting, the line for regular check out was long with 8 people. This was early only a little after 9:00 am. Imagine what it will be like...
