La Palma Dog Park: A Fantastic Spot for Pups and Their People La Palma Dog Park, located in Laguna Woods, California, is a true gem for local dog owners. It offers a well-maintained and spacious environment where dogs can safely play and socialize. One of the first things you'll notice is how clean the park is. The grounds are regularly cared for, and waste bags are usually well-stocked, making it easy for owners to do their part. There's also plenty of shade, which is a huge plus, especially during warmer afternoons. This thoughtful design ensures both pups and their humans can stay comfortable while enjoying their time outdoors. The park features separate areas for large and small dogs, a detail that's always appreciated. This helps ensure that dogs of all sizes can play without feeling overwhelmed or causing accidental bumps. The fencing is secure, giving you peace of mind that your furry friend can run freely without worry. For the humans, there are benches scattered throughout the park, providing comfortable spots to sit and watch the canine antics. The community feel is also a big draw; it's common to see friendly faces and dogs happily interacting. Overall, La Palma Dog Park is a fantastic resource. It's clean, well-equipped, and fosters a positive atmosphere for dogs and their owners. If you're in the Laguna Woods area and looking for a great place for your dog to burn off some energy, this park comes highly recommended.

Nice people and dogs. Except for when your small dog decides he wants to play with the big dogs instead! So he goes through a small space under the fence that separates the big dogs from the little dogs. Mechanical hare lure runs thru my mind as I run around to that side. So I always block that area. Others must of also had the same experience. I noticed now that the area has been blocked with sticks or bags tied together. So small dog owners beware. It's a small area where there is no concrete only dirt under the fence (tree roots-I think). Once the hole was bigger due to someone letting their dog dig there. Other than that I've had to watch where I step due to owners not picking up after their dogs.

If you live in an apartment or if you have a small yard, this particular dog park does the job well. Nothing too out of the ordinary, just an average dog park. They offer water fountains at a dog's level and small baggies to pick up your dog's business. Parking can be tough when busy. Don't head over expecting too much, just a huge grassy area for small and larger dogs. I will say be careful with some of the homeless and druggies in the area. Unfortunately, they don't care if they're partaking in their illegal actions while you're walking by.

The park it self is nice. Big and set up really well. By the time we left we had dog poop all over the bottom of our shoes, I think there were maybe two of us actually picking up after our dogs. Then a man with a really dominant dog came in. It started a fight with a group of dogs, that were playing well before he came in, and instead of removing his dog from the park he just pulled him away. The parking was SO BAD! and as mentioned in the other reviews the homeless situation there is really bad. We say someone peeing on the sidewalk as we left and had a man fallow us to our car asking for money. The park was nice but not worth the...
