If I was just reviewing the store manager, I'd be less likely to give as many stars. His staff, however, are priceless jewels that keep this store afloat. They become family to their regulars and are willing to bend over backwards to help you find what you need and keep your farm, livestock, and pets in tip top shape and condition. If they don't have something, they'll get it so long as their suppliers have access to it. I have gotten many chickens, ducks, and turkeys from them and they are all quality birds that they stand behind with a solid guarantee. I do wish they found a better supplier for their store brand feeds than Cargill considering Cargill/Nutrena quality is extremely poor, but I understand that choices are limited and their chief competitor already has a contract with Purina.
The store is clean, well organized, and well stocked. For the most part it is easily navigated by those with disabilities and their staff is ready and willing to assist with lifting and handling bags of feed and other large items.
The knowledge bank on some of their employees is absolutely gold. I appreciate being able to learn from them and bounce ideas off them to help make my work on my farm easier and my animals greatly...
Read moreHunters beware of rural king Angola Indiana practices. Hunting scent elimination sprays have been sitting on their shelves for over a season now. Most stores that sell these products do a taper down sales on these products due to only having a shelf life that is one season long. Rural was unable to sell a large amount of this product due to exorbanate prices. They marked them down 50% but that was still too high and therefore Rural King Angola Indiana was unable to sell a large supply. There recently marked the price back up to full price. Hunters beware you may be getting a product that maybe inert. There are other products in their hunting section that they are doing this too. Annual seed for food plots beware check the test date on the back of the seed. If from the previous season beware you may not get the germination you want or deserve that you are paying for. Shame on Rural King Angola for these, if you ask me, morally wrong pop practices. Makes me wonder about other items in their store that have...
Read moreReally starting to go downhill. They used to carry YETI thermos. Ask Manager. He said he stopped caring them because they cost 10x the price of the Lincoln's that they carry now and they were only making $2 off their sale. And they make $4 on the Lincoln's and they cost the consumer less. I said but the Yetis don't leak. He said either do the Lincoln's. When we paid for the Lincoln's we poured a purchased drink in at at the counter and put the lid on and turned it upside down it leaked all over their counter.we called the manager up to call him out. He didn't offer a return and simply stated "Oh I thought you meant the seal"! What😣 Should've kept the Yetis I as many consumers would rather pay more and get quality. Plus he shouldn't share the company's profits and losses with the consumer. UPDATE..3 YEARS LATER. NOTHINGS CHANGED FOR THE BETTER. RUAL KING IS NOT FOR COUNTRY FOLK BUT FOR...
